Looking at an earlier model vmax vs a newer model there seems to be a slight machining difference on the rear pumpkin. it may be due to the move from the castle axle nut to a regular one, but wondering if what i'm seeing is normal.
what i'm comparing is two mating surfaces.
the first being the one on the pumpkin that the washer for the nut on the rear axle rests on.
the second surface being the one the rear shock sits against.
(the red ones in the picture below)
it appears these are very close in an early model vmax (a 90 i believe). but in my '03 they're about 4.75mm apart.
no model number for just the pumpkin case so hard to tell.
so what i'm wondering is if others could check theirs and note their year, axle/nut type and offset if any.
