There's currently an '09 on eBay described as having Yamaha's fat tire kit. However, it's clearly sporting a 210/40 (ME880). Wasn't the kit for a 240 conversion?
My stock rim is already wrapped with a 200/50 (ME888).

That is correct. The standard wheel is a 6" width for 200 tire vs the 8" width and 240 tire.

Thank you sir. I was right! LOL
Interesting that the 210/40 is slightly wider than the 200/50 but its sidewall is over 1/2" shorter.
I'm liking the sound of that!20210606_191614.jpg

It was a question, not a point. Seller with a 210 rear says his 2nd gen has a Yamaha fat tire kit. Just asked if I was correct in thinking the kit was for 240 tires.
Then I merely noted that a 210 is 5% wider, drops the rear .63" and (apparently) fits on a stock rim.

I tried a 210 on stock rim in 2009. A bitch to fit but did fit. Provides minimal width increase since stock rim wasn’t intended to use. Also a more rounded like bulging profile I believe it was a metzler used on the Yamaha raider bike. Picked up a screw at 400 miles. Went back to a 200
Note. Shinko makes a soft stealth 180 in an 18”. Corners nice and hooks up well. But. Looks kinda small and is a 1500 mile tire. Imho

Thanks Rick. That's exactly what I needed to convince me to just stick with the 200. Appreciate the info!

I think I read you have to disconnect the final drive to change 240s. Of so, that's a huge Con for me.
Otherwise, I think 240s are friggin badass.
yes you have to remove the pumpkin to remove the rear wheel with the 240 i have one
