Solid Motor Mounts

Looks like the U- joint hits the tank preventing the replacement of the left rear mount. Any tips or special tools to remove the u-joint? I dont want to damage anything. And...on the fiche, I only see part #'s for the clips and caps not for the complete u-joint. Would'nt it be wize to just replace the whole thing while I am at it. I would need new clips at least anyway. Any suggestions are appreciated.

3 bolts in the end (obvious), loosen the 2 bolts from the top pinch area from above. Give it a pull and don't lose the shims.

Ok, pull the whole assembly out, leave the u-joint and yoke together. Thanks Sean.

I rode and raced big bore 2 strokes off road for 20 yrs. I have permanent numbness in both hands and feet. I'lljust get on the gas harder in the straights! But agreed. The aluminium mounts really work. You can feel it on the first ride.
