I've been a member of this forum for a long time, and have posted almost 1500 times. I have always tried to be polite and courteous to all of you, attempting to pass along the knowledge I've gained over 30 years of owning my Vmax. I don't believe I have ever ripped on another member of this forum publicly, even after a member behaved in a completely uncalled for manner while visiting my house. That was not public interest and will not be further mentioned, or expounded on.

I made a respectful point recently in another thread , which was already sinking to the level of name-calling (by people I expected better from..). I commented on what I thought was a valid point, and also mentioned that I didn't think it was right to bash the member. Fine, disagree with the opinion, but don't insult the poster.

One of the bashers then aimed his comments at me. I'm not going to be dragged into a pissing match with some punk who never met me, and only knows me by what he reads here. He excused his comments by saying the Burnout Pit is an "anything goes" part of the forum. Using his logic, I told him "**** off, punk", and "Kiss my ***".

If this gets me banned, so be it.

I THINK this is the whole point of the original thread. I believe the original poster wants to cause discourse....and to basically have us at each others throats.

This is a helluva forum, and I have seen numerous gifts of parts or "pay me when you can" and thats not seen on other forums. I have a few friends that do not share my conservative view points, and thats ok...we just dont talk politics while we are around each other.

At the end of the day....we are ALL Brotherhood of the Vmax.

That is the thing that always needs to be remembered.

It's hard to argue with this when you look at how the thread in question was managed by it's originator....the troll/sniping type tactics....etc.

Its not the politics, its the thought this bozo is aiming his crap at someone who did nothing to deserve it.

I completely understand, and sometimes its easy for disagreements to happen. Me personally, I am a 2 fingered typist....and its not even the same 2 fingers. I use the index finger of my left hand, and middle finger of my right, and with that I can still type 45 words a min....or there about. BUT...to make my typing faster, I shorten everything down to its bare essence, I'm more wordy in person, so sometimes when I type, its short, direct, and to the point, and its easy for misunderstandings to creep up about being "short" with people to the point of being "grumpy"

Bottom line, its easy for there to be misunderstandings because WE only see whats written, we do not see the other person body language, or can even hear the tone or the inflection of their voice.

IMHO

I'm one of the few bleeding heart liberals on this forum and while I may disagree with some of the postings in the 'Burnout Pit' I respect everyone hear because I know that in a time of need you guys will be there to help. If a thread offends you, just don't read it and try to treat everybody with respect. My 2 cent.

Yeah, better to ignore the negativity. Sure, you want to strike back when someone offends you, but those people thrive on the dissention. It makes their day to have someone mad at them, because there's absolutely nothing the aggrieved party can do about it. Oh, you can post a response, but you're better-off spending time with your family, caring for them, than to try to rebut a troll, Or, work on your bike, search for some internet content on a subject you've been meaning to read-about, but don't let someone tie up your time, and aggravate you.

Bill, you are a valued Brother. Don't let the **** Heads who pop up occasionally get to you.
I tend to post controversial subjects at times. When they have the balls to meet me face to face, I'll deal with it.... You could too for sure.:clapping:

I wouldn't feel bad if the moderators closed this thread, anybody else?
Sorry Bill, I meant the thread that originally started the discussion and sour feelings.
None here against you as far as I'm concerned.

Damn! I leave or basically to busy even breathe, I poke my head in for a few seconds and I see Vmax parts virtually flying across the forum. Lol don't have time to read the whole thread however if the thread in question is causing issues, delete it if it hasn't been done and kick the other individual off the site. We all are not here for drama. I believe that when I get tired of raking leaves I cut down the tree that makes them!
