I'll not start a public slanging match Steve so have responded in private.

I don't expect everyone to agree with me or that my views are correct - but I do expect the right to express my opinions!

Ok, You say something personal, like I effect the image of bikers in a negative way and its your opinion. You call it flaming when I respond to it. Got it.That your opinion too, ok.
Long live the Queen. No more on this please. This thread is about conducting Myself before the law in America. And, enjoying my bike the way I wanted to on that day. This is my last responce to you. Private of public. Let's both move on in the spirit of unity on the forum, and the Holidays.

+1 on Chris Rock. :biglaugh: That's a classic.

I don't really see much of anything wrong with speeding, even excessively ... until an innocent person is hurt. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicular_homicide

Have I done stupid s*** on the road in the past? Oh, yes. But I've sort of gotten beyond that stuff and I was lucky. In the past several years I've driven very responsibly on public roads, never would consider running from the law, and my last speeding ticket was 9 years ago for 35 in a 25.

These days I take speeding to the track. I have a 505 hp Corvette Z06 that's done 175 mph at a closed road course-track. I enjoy drag racing the Max but at a drag race track, legally, safely.

But if someone wants to risk their personal freedom or the lives, health and safety of other people ~ then they should just remember that sometimes bad choices can have really bad consequences.

Last week I was doing around 100 in a 55 when I seen the State Trooper coming at me ,,,I slammed on the brakes and was clocked doing 82 and told the Trooper I had to **** really bad (and really did) and he told me to be careful and have a nice day = no ticket =no problem

Merry Christmas everybody:eusa_dance:

Back around 1974 I got stopped for speeding on my RD350. I just got done spanking a Honda 450, and the cop pulled me over because (in his words) "You Beat Him".

We wound up leaning on the cop car, talking bikes. finally, he told me that he really had to give me a ticket, which he proceeded to do. Just before he got into the car, he told me to check the ticket over before gong to court. Good advice, as he mistakenly (I think, LOL!) checked the "Female" box for my sex.

I took it to court, and the judge dismissed it, due to the identification error on the ticket - telling me it was my lucky day.:punk:

Thanks,Merry Christmas to you and everybody else,
A happy ending is always nice to read. Congrats. on getting off just with a warning. Sometimes they'll give us a break. A lot of police officers ride and understand.

I forget who originally posted this or where it came from, but it seems suitable here...

Unless I think the cop got my plate, I'm outta there. And a half-size MC plate whizzing at 130mph is not gonna be seen by even the most observant cop, OR their plate scanners. I've got a friend who's now a federal agent, used to work for city police....filled me in on a few secrets to driving fast.....he likes to haul ass on public roads too.

I was riding with one of my friends in his car once, same guy I ride with all the time....it was a V6 Hyundai sedan. Not what you'd expect for a performance powerhouse. We blew by a cop at like 90, he pulled out, and that little South Korean car wheeled our ***** outta there just fine. He knew it wouldn't outrun a P.I, off the highway, lots of quick turns, and he ditched them. I'd never drifted around corners in a front-drive, automatic, Korean car before, with the inside front wheel rolling off smoke.

i BULL **** , I'M NOT DONE WITH THIS , EVERY TIME WE GET INTO A ******* CAR WE PUT EVERYONES LIFE AROUND US AND THATS INCLUDING THEIR KIDS IN DANGER ! ... WHAT , JUST BECAUSE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 55 MPH , OR 70 MPH LIKE HERE IN FLORIDA , THAT MAKES IT SAFE ? .. BULL ******* **** , WHAT BECAUSE SOME POLITICIAN SAY'S SO ? .. THINK FOR YOUR SELF , IF 55 MPH IS SAFER THEN 70 MPH WHY DON'T YOU DRIVE 10 MPH , THEN NOBODY WOULD GET HURT ! ... AND DON'T BE ******* HYPOCRITES BECAUSE YOU CANT JUST ADHERE TO THE LAWS YOU WANT TO , REMEMBER JAY WALKING IS ILLEGAL , SPITTING ON THE SIDEWALK IS ILLEGAL , DOING A U-TURN IS ILLEGAL , YOU LEGALLY NEED A PERMIT TO PUT IN A WINDOW AIR CONDITIONER ! ALSO IF YOU HAVE EVER AND I MEAN EVER PULLED OVER AND TAKING A PISS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD , YOU ARE BREAKING THE ******* LAW ! ! ! .THIS GOES FOR LETTING YOUR KIDS DO IT ALSO ! .. YOU CANT PIC & CHOOSE AND THEN VOICE OPINIONS LIKE YOUR LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD AND HAVE NEVER DONE ANY OF THESE THINGS ! ... AND FOR ANYONE THAT HAS NEVER BROKEN ANY OF THE ABOVE LISTED LAWS , PLEASE START LETTING THE GOVERNMENT TAKE TWO THIRDS OF YOUR PAY INSTEAD OF JUST ONE THIRD , SO WE CAN GET THIS ECONOMY TURNED AROUND ! .. CUT ME A ******* BREAK ! . :jerk it: .:jerk it: .:jerk it:

Absolutely!! We all conduct ourselves in the manner we wish to, that's the way it is and that's the way it should be! Be very careful about wanting to occupy that "high moral ground"....making big judgement calls & all....cause it's real easy to get knocked off there.

None of us are 100% law abiding citizens....it's just not possible! There are obscure laws on the books that most of us aren't even aware of....the cops can ticket just about every vehicle on the road for something! It's designed that way....maybe there's some truely bad hombres out there and a cop needs a reason to pull that vehicle over....it's called 'probable cause.'

So we're all breaking laws of some sort, continually....so now what? "Well, I may break those little laws but I don't break the big ones like excess of 100 in a 55!" Isn't that like being 'a little pregnant?'

Anyhow, I've ridden many hundreds of miles with COPRUNNER and I can assure you he is just as cautious and law abiding as anyone on this forum!

Internet moral statute 1.5.7, to wit: no person attempting to communicate via the internet shall use black fonts on a grey background. No person shall place pictures which appeal to the purient interest of any viewer.
You have been forewarned, conduct yourself accordingly!

As "Canned Heat" once sang in a PSA for radio, "speed kills!" :biglaugh:

I'm not starting any more threads...lol. I'm just lurking now. Well, I figured Nobody isn't here so .........

Tim is still pissed at me for stopping. I have to get pics of that site to defend myself. Or C.R. comes to the Cape to visit and we cruise that area (serious). I wasn't going to fly much further anyway. A rotory is a challenge at LOW speeds and was just ahead of Mr. State Trooper already in his car with lights on, waving pull in son. I have to say I break the law almost every time I ride. Along with 90% of cagers, some on cell phones texting-illegal here. If you come down rt 6 to the cape doing the speed limit in traffic, you'll get run down by a tourist or a local. Or, ride the Mass Pike at the speed limit and look behind you.

i mean come-on everyone loves a good old heart pumping nervous paranoia of being chased or have been and hiding from the coppa's dont they :ummm: otherwise why would there be such things as the MM, i mean its all his fault anyways right :rofl_200:, and we all know who the MM is, right garrett!!!!!!

And guys, if your checking out cop runners driving history and criminal acts over the years, i think he just moved out of jersey not for the hot weather but a change of venue, ie new blood to be chased by/ had to leave to avoid jail time hahahah i know tim thats what it is and dont deny it bro bahahahhaah

I saw a pic in the post office in N.J. that looked a lot like him. It might have been the spikes that got my attention.

I needed to get stabil in my carbs and i needed a 12v phone charger so i took my bike to walmart the other day and i was vary cold so i walk in with my helmet on and took it off inside. When i got to the phone chargers a young employee said need any help i said yes. when he saw my helmet he asked what i was riding and i told him a vmax. His face got a big smile and he reached in hit pocket and pulled out a local news paper clip and handed it to me and said thats me. The clip said motorcycle tryed out running cops. I smiled and the young man said the 167mph high speed chase wasent do to me i was only going 160mph in a 55. He said i was doing over the speed limit and the cop was comong up fast so i opened it up knowing he couldent keep up. (WRONG). He said he lost view of the lights and did a quick turn and toped the bike out and than backed off nowing he got away. (WRONG) This time the cop was on him at a vary high speed. He said he gave it everything the bike had and the cop pulled up next to him so he gave in. He asked the cop how fast will a v6 charger go. the cop said me and 5 other officicer's trained at M.I.S (michigan international speedway) with our 6 new modified hemi chargers. The cop told him it will do 167mph and i was calling the chase off but when you turned I saw it and new it was you. The kid said our michigan playground has 6 vary fast cop cars so watch out. Not that the michigan vmaxer's have anything to worry about. We never do over the speed limit. Hell i new the first ride that i went on with the westside gang and the lansing gang this was going to be some of the safest riding i had ever done. Maybe Maxmidnight should move to Michigan and ride safe with us.

i THIS IS EXACTLY WHY MY NEXT BIKE IS GOING TO BE A " HAYABUSA " OR WHAT EVER THE FASTEST BIKE IS AT THE TIME I WANT ONE ! ... AND PLEASE DON'T RESPOND BY SAYING " YOU CANT OUTRUN THE RADIO " , BECAUSE THATS ******** ! .. ON THE NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN I RAN , ALL THEY EVER SAID ON THAT ******* RADIO WAS " WE LOST HIM " , JUST LIKE THEY WOULD HAVE SAID ABOUT THE KID IN THE ABOVE STORY IF HE HAD NOT OF TURNED ! ..SO THEY CAN STICK ALL THEIR " TRAINING " AND HIGH SPEED COP CARS UP THEIR OVERPAID ***** ! .. P.S. ITS NICE KNOWING THAT I HAVE THE CHOICE & THE BALLS TO RUN IF "I" AND ONLY "I", FEEL THE NEED TO DO SO !
