Looking for some pictures or ideas on how everyone is strapping your front end down? I was thinking just ratchet straps but not sure if that's how everyone is goin about this I would be riding the bike to the track so can't really be permanent

Strapping it to a trailer? I just us ratchet straps with rubber coated hooks, one on each side of the handlebar on a downward angle out and forward.
Or do I not understand what you are looking for?

Newbie question but when strapping the front for racing is that just to help keep the front end down?

Don't ride to the track to race on your wife's birthday Ask Todd from custom creations about that big mistake laugh out loud

Thanks for giving me a kick in the pants. I just ordered a strap from the link I posted above. $20 and change to my door. I had planned to get one before the drags started.

Nice ! Tomorrow will probably be my last time to go this year ( If I go ) before it gets to hot. It will be nice to read about other people going. I thought this part of the forum was dead. :rofl_200:

The first day of racing (test and tune) is april 20th
Points start on april 26th. A little different than FL.
I don't care at all about points. I like going on the test and tune, and grudge nights. not to many cycles race for points, so you have to race those 5 second chainsaws. can't hear yourself think. I like going against those regular street bikes that are "all that"

Here is a strap that would bolt onto the caliper mounts and loop over the frame: http://www.tobefast.com/schnitz-racing-lowering-straps-pr-124.html

This is the same one I have on my bike, you'll need to get longer bolts and make spacers to get the brackets on the strap a little ways away from the forks... I think my spacers are like 1/2" long or so, I just took a factory bolt with me to the hardware store and measured the length I needed and bought some spacer material the I cut to fit... Works real good...

I dont care about points either . I stayed in the top ranking at my local track in my younger days just because I constantly showed up to race . It was not because I constantly won just because I was there most of the time. I only run test & tune now.
