Thought i had this thing licked by swapping to a used cdi that looked clean but did not have a warranty
it seemed to have cured it but the weather has been very cool for weeks here
ran it yesterday in some very hot weather in some very bad traffic and sputter and misfire was back
it seems to run fine when cold and the heat soaking kills it and it will not get better until it has completely cooled
i am now going to eliminate the coils and wires even though they show correct readings when cold and go to the coil on plug
i really do not want to bite the bullet and order a new cdi if this is not the problem they are too much coin....
The bike did sit in some hard rain the other day but ran fine afterward and the next day the hot traffic caused the symptoms
i don't think this is moisture related it seems to get very bad after a heat soak......i really hope this is not pick up coils
