I talked to Jeff and Chris last weekend and we mentioned the Dart project I have. Here are some before/after photos from last weekend.

Going for it's ride to the shop.

I didn't have the $$$ to have him mini-tub it so I guess that's on me, along with buttoning up a few other things, but I think for the money spent on it she looks pretty darn good.

Sub-frame connectors look nice and beefy under there too.

I'm liking the tow vehicle too...:thumbs up:

You're keeping the head unit (stereo) right? :biglaugh: It looks really good! What color are you having it sprayed? Maybe do the bike in the same color???

Haha I'm going to fill in the radio part in the dash, and hide a satelite/mp3 stereo somewhere in the car. I MAY go in the stock location, who knows.

The car is going to be black over silver, color being seperated by the body line. Not sure how that'd look on the 'Max, but it may be neat to do 'em up the same.

The tow vehicle is okay, my next new truck will be a diesel without a doubt though. I'll be looking for an enclosed trailer when the Dart is done, and that with tools, generator, a/c unit etc will be a little much for the half ton and a 5.4 gasser engine.

Looks good, I'll be interested in seeing the progression. I'll try to snap a few pics of my cousin's 66 stang... he painted it flat black and with the chrome bumpers/molding, it looks pretty sweet... kninda like the bad guy's mustang in the Dikes of Hazzard.

I meant "Dukes" of Hazzard...... I'm not sure what I was thinking... Dikes, dukes.... all good things:clapping:

Black over silver would be great looking IMHO...:thumbs up:

Yeah my 5.4 isn't bad but the boat weighs about 4800 pounds dry and it does tax it. I can do 70-80mph but gas mileage is BAD! A 6.4 liter diesel would be nice but my next vehicle is the Pontiac G8...:coolgleamA:

Jeff I'd like to see the pics of the 'Stang!

Towing my last Mustang I was getting around 9mpg towing at speed with a 3100 lb car, 2500 lb trailor, and at least 1000lbs in tools etc.

Towing my boat which weighs around 4200 lbs I'm getting around 11 or so.

My truck is stock minus a programmer and K&N Drop in filter if you want to count it haha.

I hope to get the rest of the rust out of the car here real soon, like a few weeks soon, and start on the front suspension, paint the engine bay, under coat it, wire it, and drop a driveline in and start the rest of the body work/interior work.

Well I got the floors in the cab and under the car all seam sealed up, and the bottom undercoated. Talk about a contact high! I had to take a break as the garage (man cave) was spinning pretty good. I'll get photos up tomorrow when the fumes die back down and I can get out there and touch up any spots I missed. I think I'm going to undercoat in the cab too just to keep noise down.

I wouldn't put undercoating on the inside. It never seems to set just right and can get tacky in hot weather. (maybe I was using inferior products though)
How about some of that roll-on rhino liner stuff instead. :hmmm:

It's funny you say that about the undercoating. I was talking with a friend last night about that and he said his did the same thing. I'll just prime the inside for now so it doesn't rust. I planned on using Dyna Matt in it anyway.

what about the bed liner paint....for inside..probably work as sound deadening also
