looks like the 1.5" baffle to me.
Packing gets old and worn out too. A simple re-packing might do the trick.
Also, keep in mind if you do return to stock pipes, take the carbs back to stock too. A stg 7 with stoke pipes, it isn't going to run right.
+1 on contacting Mark and having him build you a custom can. Keeping the 1.5 baffle or even go with a 2" if the can is a little longer and bigger around, it will quiet you right down.

+1 Packing is cheap. I'd try that first and see if it works for you.

Your packing looks pretty intact........you might want to buy the neighbors a box of earplugs.
Other than changing the whole system, you may want to do what others suggest....try a different muffler.
I,m afraid though that they all be just as loud since I had the same setup and didn't think it was that loud.
Might be the raspy tone that gets too ya.

seems like such a waste to get rid of $1000 pipes for something quieter... I'm like a minority in that I don't like loud pipes. Maybe I can get a muffler to go on there....

Your not alone, I like quiet. dont want anyone to know i just buzzed there area!!!

That packing you see might just be whats left from the cold end of the pipe. If you pull it out, see if it's all there, and not just a bit at the end.
