•BTW: Trump's children don't smoke or drink
•Trump makes it well known that he enjoys sexual interaction with women.
•I am unaware that Donald Trump is a recreational gambler.

I think that to really know Donald Trump, you must know his family background.

The Trump family story is a very American story.

Trump family history - concise version.
•Donald Trump's grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Alsace (Kallstadt, Germany) which throughout history has been alternately French and German. The Trumps are German, originally speaking the same German dialect as the Amish of Lancaster County, PA.
•His maternal grandparents lived in Scotland.
•Freiderich (Drumph) Trump made a small but respectable fortune in the late 19th Century in the mining boom towns of the American Northwest.
•He returned to Germany to marry his childhood neighbor, Elizabeth Christ.
•The newly married Trumps resettled in the Borough of Queens NY
•Freidrich was establishing a Real Estate business in Queens when he died suddenly at age 49 (1918).
•In 1920, at the age of 15, Fred Trump (Freiderich's son and Donald's father), started a business partnership with his widowed mother called Elizabeth Trump & Son.
•This business was built upon the real estate holdings that his father,Frederich, had amassed (worth about $500,000.00 in today's dollars). This is the original "seed money" of the current Trump Organization.
•Elizabeth & Fred remained close business partners her entire life (she died in 1966).
•In 1936 Fred Trump (age 31) married Mary Ann MacLeod (age 24) of Stoneaway Scotland.
•During the depression, Fred Trump built and successfully operated a supermarket (a new concept at the time) which was sold to King Kullen Co. and operates this day.
•Fred Trump made a lot of money building housing for the military during WWII.
•Fred Trump was investigated by the Justice Department for making "excessive profits" from government contracts.
•All (or nearly all) of the building of Elizabeth Trump & Son's non government building was residential property in Queens.
•Fred Trump died in 1999 (age 94) - beloved and worth between $250 million and $300 million. His wife died a year later.

"The Donald's" career

Donald Trump is the greatest career achiever of the "baby boomer" generation.

Donald Trump has reached the zenith in his careers as book author, TV entertainer, sports entertainer, Real Estate developer, and currently politician.

•Donald Trump has authored more than 18 books. At least one of them, The Art of the Deal was a top seller.
•Donald says that the Holy Bible is his favorite book. The Art of the Deal is his 2nd favorite book. And The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale is his third favorite book.
•He likes golf. Donald Trump has developed more than 11 golf courses which bear his name.
•Donald Trump has twice been nominated for an Emmy Award
•Donald Trump has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
•Donald Trump has been inducted to the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame.
•Donald Trump has appeared in more than a dozen movies such as Home Alone 2, Zoolander, and Little Rascals
•Donald Trump has been a guest actor in more than 6 TV shows such as Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Days of Our Lives, *** and the City, and others.
•Trump has been the Executive Producer of 7 TV shows.
•Trump has been the guest host of 5 TV shows such as Extra, Larry King Live, and Saturday Night Live and more.
•Donald Trump has been co producer of the longest running reality TV show.
•Donald Trump performed in several WWE wrestling shows.
•Donald performed in Wrestlemania 23 which set attendance records and revenue records up til that time.
•In his first candidacy for public office, Donald Trump received the most popular votes for the President of the United States out of a field of experienced and successful politicians. And in most cases, he achieved this with less money than any of his opponents.

Keeping in mind that 90% of start up businesses fail, Trump's record of enterprise is nothing short of amazing.

Donald Trump has enjoyed success in at least 11 very different enterprises: Professional football, Ice Skating rinks, Fragrance, Ice, Steaks, Wines, Model management, Airline, blenders, Men's wear, Bicycle races, world class beauty contests, and many others. In some of these, such as model management, his firm has risen to the top of that particular industry.
•There are 31 buildings that bear his name.
•The largest private real estate development in New York is Trump Riverside. Drive down the Henry Hudson Blvd. - you can't miss them.
•There are at least 12 Trump Towers
•There are at least 6 Trump Plazas.
•There are at least 11 Trump Golf Course developments
•And much, much, more in real estate.
•Trump Entertainment, casinos and resorts was recently sold to Carl Ichan.
•Donald Trump's personal managing of the Wollman Ice Skating Rink project in the early 1980's is the quintessential case study for MBA students in Wharton, Harvard, and other business schools. His performance there was phenomenal.
•Donald Trump's privately held businesses have employed more than 200,000 people.
•In the casino business in Atlantic City, Trump had to do business with known mobsters - and he stayed "clean" and alive.
•Aside from his personal investments, Donald Trump has never been a Wall Street "player".

The Political Trump:

about 1967 - 1987 - Democrat (he was a supporter of Ronald Reagan)

1987 - 1999 - Republican

1999 - 2001 - Reform Party (he supported Ross Perot)

2001 - 2009 - Democrat

2009 - 2011 - Republican

2011 - 2012 - Independent

2012 - Present - Republican

Donald Trump was openly supportive of Mitt Romney's candidacy.

Donald Trump does not seem to hold political party organizations in high regard.

For the most part, his political involvement has been for practical reasons.

Donald Trump does not appear to be held to political ideology.

Some of my take aways:
•Trump has an extraordinarily energetic central nervous system much like Teddy Roosevelt but more targeted to industry and enterprise.
•Trump's presidency will be very energetic, transparent, and communicative.
•Trump will be a very hard working President.
•His interaction with his older brother (who everybody loved) tells me that he thinks that everybody is like him - or wants to be - or should be.
•His relationship with his older brother was a hard lesson in tolerance for him.
•Trump is the Babe Ruth of career achievements.
•He is dumb like a fox. When you think he just said something stupid - he didn't. It's just that you were not his target audience.
•Trump knows the people - the folk.
•His son, Donald Jr. is right. Trump is a "Blue Collar Billionaire".
•More than anything, his TV show, The Apprentice, was his passion. He wants all Americans to have confidence (like he does) to venture.
•Donald Trump is attracted to and marries smart, high achieving women.
•The highest levels of a Trump Administration is certain to have many women - and they will be bright and assertive.
•Donald Trump's children are very important to him. And it shows.

PS. Yes, we know nothing of our current president with 2 terms in office. WTF!

I think Trump is an underqualified blowhard of the highest order, but he is still vastly better than Hillary The Liar. The real crime is that if the Republican party doesn't get its **** together and support him fully, HTL will be our next president. That's not going to be good for anybody.

And if that's a full head of hair rather than an elaborate comb over, I will eat every ******* strand.

The Best of Bad Choices?

In my mind, yes. If elected, he may surprise everybody and suddenly become thoughtful, and actually think about the effect of what he says, but I don't think so.

This will be the first election that I vote against the Democratic candidate, rather than for the Republican, and it may be the same for many. However it is critically important that Republicans do vote and not throw up their hands in disgust, because Hillary just can't be allowed to win.

It is my hope that after the election, the legislature is divided so as to minimize the damage from either candidate.

I never thought I would say that.

I agree, this is critical. I dont know one single person that feels good about Trump as pres but if we try to make a point or "protest" by not voting we could end up worse off. Getting a decent pres is obviously off the table (again) but if we can keep Satan out we'll be better off, even if it means we get stuck with Trump instead. Any way we slice it the next 4 years are going to be pretty rough. ABC.

Trumps nothing more than a buffoon. A dangerous lying psychotic buffoon. You REALLY want this clown having the power to send our kids to war, or the power to launch a nuclear war?

REALLY???

When the alternative is Hillary... Yup.

He is by no means an ideal candidate but Hillary is worse.

Like I said, Trump is not the best choice but it beats a Communist or a Lying *****...

The talk has already started about how Hillary and Bill are a team and that Bill would be involved in the key decision making.

If there wasn't so much at stake, this would be the best reality show on the planet....

On a positive note, I heard that Trump renovated a beachfront mansion and put up a 50 ft pole with an American flag. The town came to him and said that the pole was too tall - bothering the neighbors (that bothers me already)...

The fine for not doing anythig about it was $1000/week.

Trump let it go until the fine was $120,000 - then decided to settle:

he would pay the fine - as long as the money was donated to US Veterans (nice!)
if the above condition was good, he would replace the 50 ft pole with a 30 ft pole.

The conditions were accepted by the town.

Trump had a 20 ft hill build on the spot where the 50 ft pole was located - then he topped the hill with a 30 ft pole!

kudos to him. I like his response!

I've got my reservations about every candidate with their hat in the ring. Trump seems to
be the one that can instill something different than what we've had the last 8 years. Hillary, worse. Bernie? he's better than Hillary, but not what I am looking for. I think Trump is more likely to reach out to democrats in congress than She Clinton is of Republicans. With her, it will be political
retribution, as always. I see the best chance of conservative values and homeland attention, coming from Trump.

Im gonna give him the benefit of the doubt,Obama not worth a damn and it's proven.Hillary just cares about the rich, her actions in benzasi shows she don't give a **** about anyone in the military.Hope he get's it,The best shot we got.

California - LARGEST INSANE ASYLUM IN THE WORLD

Interesting that the LA Times did this. Lou Dobbs reported this on CNN and it cost him his job. The only network we would see this on would be FOX. All the others are staying away from it. Whether you are a Democrat or Republican, this should be of great interest to you!

Just One State - be sure and read the last part... try for 3 times. This is only one State... If this doesn't open your eyes, nothing will!

From the L.A. Times.
1 40% of all workers in LA County (10.2 million people) are working for
cash; and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.

(Donald Trump was right)

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal liens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals; they are here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal liens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in LA are Spanish- speaking.

10. In LA County, 5.1 million people speak English; 3.9 million, speak Spanish. (There are 10.2 million people, in LA County.)

(All 10 of the above facts were published in the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare. Over 70% of the United States' annual population growth, (and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York), results from immigration. Also, 29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

We are fools for letting this continue.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

This is only one State...If this doesn't open your eyes nothing will, and you wonder why Nancy Pelosi wants them to become voters!

Windfall Tax on Retirement Income... Adding a tax to your retirement is simply another way of saying to the American people "you're so darn stupid that we're going to keep doing this until we drain every cent from you".
Nancy Pelosi wants a Windfall Tax on Retirement Income. In other words, tax what you have made by investing toward your retirement. This woman is a nut case! You aren't going to believe this.

Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401K and Mutual Funds)!

Alas, it is true - all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities!

This woman is frightening. She quotes... 'We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn't Marx say something like this?) in our country; and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest. (I'm not rich, are you?)

When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied:

We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities.
Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as Americans.

(Read that quote again and again and let it sink in.) 'Lower your retirement; give it to others who have not worked, as you have for your money.

Send this on to your friends. I just did! This lady is out of her mind!

Trump has said it before -- he and the Clintons are friends. Heck he had about an hour long talk with Bill Clinton the night before he announced he was running for president. Many initially suspected Bill of convincing him to run as some sort of chess move to provide an easier opposition for Hillary. I don't think that's the case at all, but the point is they're in the same circles. Trump's gonna look out for Trump and the folks in his circles - Clintons included. His proposed tax plan has already proven it to me.

He's not going to look out for middle class America. He's not going look out for Veterans. He's a guy who used his wealth and the privilege that comes with it to avoid going to Vietnam and then he ***** on McCain for being a PoW? **** that *******. I want to punch him right in the ******* mouth for shitting on a PoW.

*note: I'm not necessarily a fan of McCain's present day political positions(he sold out after lost to Bush in the primary and is no longer the "maverick" he used to be). But the man was a PoW for 5 and half years... out of all the stupid **** Trump has said it was his attitude and words about McCain's time as a POW that has earned my ire towards him. I'm dumbstruck that fellow veterans give him a pass on that remark, because I know they wouldn't if that came from Hillary or Obama.

Hillary is just as full of **** too and just as bad, but one thing I consider is at least I know America can bounce back from a Clinton administration. But maybe we can't now. I dunno. Who knows what the hell is gonna happen under a Trump administration. In the end I can't in good conscience vote for either of these sorry excuses for a president. Only reason I'll be at the booth in Nov is for the down ballots. We're ****** either way when it comes to whose in the Oval Office.

ditto. You haven't been on much lately. Are you considering coming to Eureka Springs again this year?

Yea I've not been on much and unfortunately haven't been riding much. Got a new job last April of '15 and they threw me into the deep end right at the start and put me on huge project. And that project is still ongoing*. Hoping to finish up by the end of this month.

*For anyone curious, I'm in IT. I'm an Active Directory and Exchange(email) administrator. I work for Nestle now and they're moving(moved) to Office 365. I was tagged to migrate all of Nestle in North America(Purina, Nestle USA, Nestle Waters, Nestle Canada, Nespresso) which is about 50,000 mailboxes. It's been a one man show for over a year now. And I'm ready for this to be done. Just a few more weeks. *fingers crossed*

As far as plans for this year I havent made any because I'm pretty much locked from taking any vacation until this project is done. But part of reason this has taken so long is because I'm waiting on other things like network upgrades, software/update deployments to client machines, market approvals, etc.

So once this **** is done, I can actually look at taking some MUCH needed days off. I'm burnt out for sure. I would love to get to Eureka if possible and I know my girlfriend Genesis wants to go too. Just cant commit to anything yet. :bang head:

Good to hear from ya buddy!

Well, good to hear you are, at least, still standing, if not completely worn out. Hopefully, your job stuff will work out, and become more suitable for some 'normal' time off for you soon too.

And I'd like to point out that since this year's rally is on a holiday weekend, you wouldn't actually be required to take a vacation day in order to make a 3 day weekend out of attending.................................:biglaugh: just sayin'
