if he plays dirty with you then play the same with him...start some threads on his forum?

Thats not the course of action to take. That will only make it worse. Is there any member here that lives close by him? Maybe go pay him a visit with a ballpeen in hand... :rofl_200: Just kidding...
Maybe ask him about it he might have forgotten about it. Its not such an expensive part but its still yours...

Hey Garrett did you talk to him asking for it back specifically? Im sure someone here is in permanent contact with him and can let him know that you are trying to talk to him and wanting your stuff back...

Did anyone ever get a turbocharged bike??

I've seen entire motorcycles machined, fabricated, assembled, and driven in a week.

It's been 2 years!!

Its not the best way to do it, but i did join over there and PM him. lets see if he responds.

yes i've been asking for it back since january of 2010. i've heard 'its on its way' too many times to count.

22 months and counting. I missed out on this by 2 weeks, but planned on buying the kit pieces as they came available. Luckily I didn't buy the turbo or carb yet. I did buy a late model low mile engine for the build, but I can always use it for other things. I hope this project is completed someday and I remain interested. I know if I were involved that I would be going crazy at the lack of reported progress.

:confused2: Hey JoshTheCake, I think this thread is a joke thread to get people talking. Two years isn't even funny. If you want one that works call Jon at UFO he has them and uses them. Good Luck, Spurs

Jon has them listed on his website but I haven't seen any more then the prototype. There is more progress posted on the dragbike forum then there is here. Still much slower then we wanted and there is a significant amount invested so far.

I see you were paging gary on the outlaw db site. Anything good cooking or you just looking for an update?

I just want to get an in person chat with him. Been quite awhile. I know he's been heard from as little as a month ago.

Update from Gary:
Hey Jeff, Things are winding down a bit and I will get cracking on the turbo project. Just haven't had the time. They put me in charge of safety training on top of my regular job... which just floored me with writing presentations and doing training etc. We have an international safety audit next week and I will be out of the woods.

Projects LOL we should have our heads examined. I'm sure the Vmax guys would like to lynch me right about now. If you could pass the word... the turbo project will be complete before my other projects. Will have the manifold setup over to Steve in a few weeks for exhaust mock up.
He is working on it... lets, just keep waiting.

Thanks,

Jeff

Yes Jeff thanks for the update. I am patient and want to see the finished product. I might want one....

i have a little progress also, the venture neck is going great -i took it back apart to fine tune it a little, there is more room to be had so i changed it.does anyone have some 3/4 inch aluminum pipe?i need some pretty thin stuff.like fuel line or some similiar.also sean i have a trigger wheel from prez on the way from poland.thanks much to him and his waterjet guy.fabio just sent me all the msq files he has on his fi set up.so far anyway -its a never ending process tuning a one off.i just got off the phone with scott our radiator guy and he is mocking one up as soon as he orders the core-have to send him 3 bills tonight.the scoops -i talked with a local custom boat builder who says he will walk my through it and sell me all the materials but i just dont have the time right now to do all that glass work. the best solution is going to be getting those abs ones gary listed ill finish them as that would save a bunch of time for me.-they are only 100.00 bucks plus shipping.and as far as gary finishing this- i have bit off more than i can chew plenty of times,i can relate to not having enough time for this little deal.i would love it done soon but this isnt his day job its a side thing, and even though two years is a long time im still inclined to cut him some slack.i just started a new job 4 months back and they are working me like a slave.but im making kings wages so i cant complain,it takes alot of time.not much time left for projects and the like later, mike

People just have to take in account that most of us do not do this for a living, these are "hobbies" and even though we would like to put them on top of the list, most of the time is not possible. I know this from experience with all the arguments with the wife about "you like them better than me" kinda stuff... :confused2:
I've been taking some projects on my own and with much help from some friends but sometimes its kinda overwhelming and i can't keep the deadlines i impose on myself and that pisses me off, unfortunately i have Saturday mornings to "do stuff" and mostly weekdays to burn my coins on Ebay and forums... :bang head:
All this to say that even though sometimes the patience is lacking, the beauty on this is this is a ongoing project, like my bikes i love the fact that is a ongoing change. My bikes spend more time on the bench than rolling. I know a gentleman that setup a EFI and turbo to his vmax, he might be of some help and many of you know him - Niels Saarloos. If i can be of any assistance let me know eventhough the fact that im not planning on installing a turbo on mine. Cheers
