Re: turn over problem. Oh Yeah?

Well how about this... My 07 runs great, in fact, runs better than before I got it. but! When it sits for awhile, I mean engine stone cold, it will be on a trickle charge, when I go to start it up, choke either on full or 1/2, it will start but it slips like, as if the starter is disengaging, then it will just spin, like the starter is not fully engaging, then after a few times, it will start right up, I'll let it run for a minute or so, then shut it down, give it a minute, start it up, starts right up no issues, so when stone cold it does that engage/disengage thing. what could it be? Please advise, anyone. Scott

Sounds like your starter clutch is on the way out.

So where is the failure occurring in this diagram?

11 & 7. Usually a weak battery starts the process. The bolts back out, then destruction sets in. Check out threads on changing it out. Lock- tighting & Peening the ends of the bolts (11) is important.
