The car had a great race at '17 Rolex at Daytona while winning in it's 2vd year of running in the GTLM class. The IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s GT Le Mans class is a very competitive class with such perennial competition as the very successful Corvette #4 and #3 team, and such factory teams as Ferrari and Porsche.

I have always admired the GT40 which makes it really hard not to admire the GT and apparently this latest iteration has something extra. I wonder where the value of a well preserved example would land in 30 years if they really only produce 250 in this guise.

Ferrari didn't care for this creature at Le Mans in 66-69 and fair to say they might not like this version much more.

I would probably be in jail if I owned this car.

I'm not a Corvette fan, but I respect the Corvette. That being said I like a sports car with the engine at the correct end of the vehicle. I just love it every time something completely awesome gets made in America.

The Corvette is supposed to get a mid-engine design soon. I could see them selling the current one and the mid-engine one, which is sure to be $100,000+ by my guess. Like buying a V12 or a V-6.
