Is there a reason why my V-boost is disconnected? Does running a Stage 7 jet kit not allow the V-boost to be run & why? Too much intake charge?

Owned about 4 weeks. '85 Vmax 38,850 miles. Runs very strong but I see someone has the V-boost disconnected. The boost sensor has a hose nipple with nothing on it. Is there any benefit/warning as to hooking it up?

The reason is performance related. When going to individual filters the low end and midrange suffer so they have you unplug vboost to the open position to help regain some of that. Only problem is that at WOT down low or middle over carburates and still isn't quite as good as with the air box. You can plug it in and it will work fine.

That hose should hook to the left-front manfold nipple. This control vacuum advance and isn't related to the vboost system.

So that "boost sensor" (under the gauges...1-air nipple, 1-3 wire plug) is a vacuum advance?

The "Left front manifold nipple" under the chrome manifold cover or is there another?

Correct, the small hose should go to a one way plastic valve with an arrow on it. Then, another hose piece goes from there to a small box about the size of a match box. The manifold nipple is behind the plastic chrome "H" cover.

The vboost controller is located under the left scoop.
