Good luck with them. A friend of mine bought a pair, spent a lot of time painting and pinstriping them to match his GL1000, and they lasted about two months before starting to disintegrate. Very cheaply made, didn’t hold up to vibration and were very disappointing.4875A1F5-6463-4560-B8F0-2E289A8C034C.jpeg

These Saddlebags are very high quality and will last through many bikes. I have personally toured with the Hepco & Becker and they come in many varieties and can sure take a beating and hold a lot.

Gen 1 Saddlebags
https://www.motomachines.com/hepco-becker-complete-rack-yamaha-v-maxThese bags are proven highest quality. They have nice features like one-key for all, high volume and absolutely will not open during riding as the latch to open them is specially designed not to open fully.

I bought the trunk on eBay, and I fabricated the rear rack / trunk support, out of a piece of 1/4 inch aluminum, and electrical conduit. I used stainless steel carriage bolt and nut, to fasteners. See the attached pictures.

I just did a throw over set... Cheap and dirty lol.... Works Perfect. Ran it up to 100 mph for about 2 miles on highway and bags never flapped....

Small Tourmaster nylon bags (new got them for $80 shipped, less than half price) and mounted under seat... Pushed back to clear rear/top seat latch to access gas. Used supplied straps to tie off to grab bar. No bouncing or flapping in town or on highway. The also have a quip-zip off feature to remove bags entirely but leave throw over center part under seat. Very well made and came with rain covers. Don't hold much... But enough for a weekend trip. I plan on using them for the upcoming Thunder in the Valley this summer (along with a dufflebag/suitcase bungee corded to the rear seat).20210308_213118.jpg20210308_213125.jpg20210308_202624.jpg20210308_202606.jpg
