Ran perfect until introduction of Ethanol. Mods and so forth, about $10,000 invested total. BTW: I put
the initial purchase on my credit card just to see if the dealer would squirm.... Didn't phase them at all.:confused2:



MY 89, bought 1 year ago, private owner for $2100.00. 32,000 Miles, looked fair, needed a lot of TLC..
Over 1200 hours in it now and more than double the initial investment. But it's very, very fast...:ummm::rofl_200:
Only God knows what's inside the motor...

Purchased 30 days ago in Dayton, Ohio, 1999 carbon, Cobra slip on's, charging mod done, fan switch mod done, 100 % clean condition! 14.200 miles, paid $3.200 added drag bar and short steamed mirrors and red led lights in all the gauges and an led brake light. Bike came with a box containing 3 new oil filters, 5 qts of oil, fork oil, shaft oil, windshield, and a Corbin seat with backrest, original stock oem backrest, a few magazines with Vmax information, owners manual, service manual and original temp tag when purchased new in 99 and the sales brochure for the 99 Vmax...

1985. Bought new. Stock except for Corbin seat, COPS, New style R/R, and Goldwing battery modification. Looks a bit roadworn (I like to think of it as "patina"!), but still runs well....

$5395.00 purchase price.
122,000 miles later, priceless!
This may be the most "not-for-sale" bike on Earth.

1995 with 40k miles for $2500. Bought in September, 2011. Dale Walker 4-2 exhaust, corbin seat, K&N Filter, Windshield, super clean, great condition, new tires. Can't beat this much bike for $2500!

Mines a 1995, purchased April 2011, 23,000 miles, very clean, good tires, windshield, backrest, corbin seat, K&N a/filter, paid $3200. After looking up the value of the bike on NADA, thought I was getting a fair deal. I'm very happy with the bike.

1985 bought in 2011, 23,000 miles, $2900. Kerker 4 into 1, rejetted, custom paint, fork seals, original exhaust came with it, large new battery. Needed new back tire, parts painted, cleaned up, carbs cleaned and adjusted.
