Fixed the middle gear case cover leak. Well time will tell...lol. It tooa lng time too. Because, I stripped, smooth and did my first powder coat job. Room for much improvment, but it looks way better. And the leak? Well,a long rde should tell the story. I also did the brakett from my windshild mount.

Looking good.

Wiped up the oil off the floor. This is Sunday, so the 7th time this week.

Cool mount, but I wouldn't even bother with the Flip crapcorder. On a motorcycle all you're going to record is a mess of blurry scenery and wind noise. Seriously...flip cameras are the worst. You can get so much better for so much less.

I added a second main power line to the key switch, just in parallel with the "red" wire that's already there. My random blinkers are fixed now, and voltage throughout the bike is about .8v higher. Before I had 11.8 key-on-engine-off across the battery but only 10.6 at the blinker relay. Now I've got 11.4, which is enough for it to function normally.

Actually, its taking pretty decent video for the $69.99 I payed for it. It's picking up a little vibration, less with the ram-mount. I sold my old drag bars to a friend so I have a different set on it now. I'm happy with it, the mount reduced a fair abount of vibration. I'm going to put in another bar snake in the new bars and if it works as well as the last snake did, I see no reason why it won't record as well as my last camera. The thing that got me was the lack of wind noise. It's still there, but compared to the last camera and the helmet cam, the difference is night and day. This is one purchase, ok two (I'm loving the camera mount) that I definately am not regretting.

I think the arm can stay on but you'll have to take off the shocks and let the assembly hang down.

Gave it a good detailing and fabbed up a new bracket.
After I was done, I went to the store to score a gal of milk and some ovaltine. When I walked out to my bike, there were a couple of teenagers gathered around it.

One said, the usual stuff (this was banned, Some dude named Gleason ran a 7 sec quarter mile on one of these) but it was his closing remark that was priceless.

" Yeah, The Vmax is a professional bad-ass " :punk:

Foot brake did not activate the brake litght----- So I adjusted it:biglaugh: A real hard job. After fixing the oil leak and the change to Rotella oil, the Max is running perfect:eusa_dance:

Worked on a friend's Vmax. Oil change, added new scoop inserts and grill, bled brakes and clutch.

Walked around mine, contemplating reverse shift pattern. Not for any performance increase, but just to make it a little more different.

Interesting day. I've been having some problems with my bike, but I drove it to work anyway. The charging system is not working, so every mile I go ... I've got a little less juice in the battery.

Well, it made it to work, and made it almost all the way back. About 1 mile from home, the electronics were going nuts as I now recognize them to do when the bike is completely starved of voltage and the battery is drained.

About 1 block from my house it started choking, coughing, backfiring, and surging. I down shifted, rev'd the motor, got up the hill, and she died completely... I coasted around the corner and onto my driveway.

Had to push her just 10 feet into the garage. Phew! Seriously close call on that one.

Guess I had better get her fixed up quick!
