Chain conversion, I read! I like the shaft, no maintenance, as long as it stays in the case unbroken, unlike some other members!

You are in Lansing, I used to ride old US 27 which begins its trip to MI in downtown Miami FL, & winds its way north. Between I 94 & Lansing is where I used to frequent when I was attending college in MI. The Garfield Lake Tavern was a favorite watering hole for the locals & college students. http://www.yelp.com/biz/garfield-lake-tavern-olivet

Enjoy the riding season, you still have almost 4mo. left. And show kindness to your rear passenger, terrorizing them is not condusive to positive relations! You can always let-out your 'inner hooligan' riding solo, and when two-up, a 'more-sedate' pattern of behavior will placate the passenger & promote more 'next times,' assuming you want there to be more 'next times!'

Have you taken a backroads trip to Hickory Corners to see the Gilmore Car Museum? Well-worth the trip, they have all kinds of events during the riding season. http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/

moved the max back and forth on the driveway... convering my carport to a garage so she has a proper home and the overhead door and we were installing the overhead door today. didn't go as smooth, but the door is in. no spring or operator but that should be resolved by next weekend.

By the way, I like your avatar, it looks like George Clinton. I met George when he played at our college in MI in 1971, the student gov't. body brought him in, I don't think the administration knew what they were in for!
Parliament had just released their first album as Funkadelic, and George and Bootsy Collins tore the roof off the traditional "pit"-style gym in-which the concert was held. You know the type, the basketball court is down low & the seats are all about 10' up on either side, the entry at one end & a stage at the other. Well, he had students up on the stage dancing and carrying on, and he was nowhere as big as he is today, weight-wise. By the end of the concert he had stripped-down to his briefs and the sis-tuhs were going wild!

I have seen him several times since then, but that was undoubtedly one of the most raucous concerts I ever saw, and I started attending 'em in the 1960's. "Mothership Connection!"

Turn Signal Relocation

Relocated my turn signals to license plate area so I could swing my saddle bags over. I don't like them sticking out really far like the relocation kits put them, so I fabbed up a little bracket that bolts on to where the fender support attaches to the fender itself, just above the license plate. It allowed me to suck them in tighter and I think it looks cleaner.
Anyway, here is my little bracket painted black:

Here it is mounted with wiring to it. A previous owner got a little zealous with the right mount as you can see:

Now I'm ready to hit the twisties this weekend with the missus!

It was a nice 81deg day, so I thought I would play a little. I took out my new, Flip 8GB Ultra HD camera and did a walk around my bike. Then I went for a ride around town.

The second video was taken a few days ago with it mounted in the usual location on the bike. The video has a noticeable wayvyness to it. Its more than likely due to my camera mount. Im thinking of a nice way to dampen it to smooth out the video.

It's not a bad camera at all, 720HD for under $70. I can live with it :biglaugh:

Hey KJ, what is the reason for putting the little filter on your diff fill hole? Cooling?

I'm riding mine in 5 min. Got to go see what's up at Mark's though. I herd the Mod Monkey is there and won't leave! I'm protected myself. Just show my empty wallet and the monkey leaves me alone for now.

I had a similar issue with the mounting tab on my fender. I cleaned it up and applied some ABS glue. It took awhile to dry but has been holding up really well

Had my oen backrest powdercoated to sell, it came out looking so good I put it back on my bike instead of selling it.

Installed my Cycleoneoff handlebar mount oil pressure guage kit yesterday, everything went together well but when I fired up the Max the guage didn't move, now I was pretty sure I had some oil pressure as I went on a 100mi ride the night before, I took it out for a few minutes and hit the V-boost a couple of times but still no guage movement, I removed the line at the elbow at the engine and some oil dribbled out, I took my air hose and hit the line to the guage and it took 3 tries of step up pressure to finally get it to let go, seems to work good now, not sure if there was somthing in the line or maybe the guage was just stuck?.................................Tom.

Using a SW mechanical gauge on a V8 before, I had to leave a compression fitting loose to allow the trapped air to bleed out to attain a correctly-functioning gauge. Sounds like a mechanical blockage of the line, cleared by the air hose.

A few days late, but did the following last Saturday:

Removed EFI, removed fuel tank, checked valves (with 60k km on the motor only one intake valve was very slightly out of spec, correcting this week), checked wiring, and prepped for reassembly. Next step is to install super secret project stuff that I will have to post up some pics of this week:eusa_dance:

Hey KJ, what is the reason for putting the little filter on your diff fill hole? Cooling?

Purely cosmetic. :biglaugh: Its on the vent not the filling hole.
I like the looks of it, but I doubt there are any performance increases. At first I thought it might allow water to enter my hub, but no h2o in the diff since I installed it. I can't remember if it was the beginning of last season or the year before that.

mckzx9: Zanax'll fix you right up. I think you'll need one tomorrow night too if the Mark's goes on.. You're gonna have a hard time putting the bike up...:rofl_200:

Congrats and Have a Great Day Tomorrow...

Well, the project is moving right along!! 85% completed as of last night. Completed:

1) New fuel tank installed
2) Wiring issues being cleared up
3) Valve shim replaced in out of spec valve
4) NOS sprayers and solenoids installed
5) 41mm Khein flatslides installed
6) fuel pump installed

To do:

1) Remove stock switch housing on throttle, install aftermarket kill switch/start button assy, install Motion Pro Revolver throttle setup (very trick system!)
2) Finish wiring clean up
3) fabricate crank case vent system
4) fuel it up
5) start it up!!!!

NOS system will not be active for tomorrow's drag races, but will be soon:punk:
