Yesterday I finally got around to syncing my carbs. Oh man, what a difference. 1&2 where pretty close, but low. 3&4 were WAY off. Feels like a brand new bike.

Also changed the fuel filter, glad I did, the old one was nasty.

Next on the list is the CBR tail light mod w/ intergrated blinkers, swapping the ugly front blinker to some smaller blacked out ones.

Also on the list is new plugs and wires.

Also discovered a seeping oil leak, looks like it may be coming from the stator cover. It seems minor though, only one drip every 48-72 hours. Will have to investigate further.

Wish id have seen that earlier, lol. The wheels are anodised Redbone, but the rotors are the stock 98 pieces. Theyre in quite good shape still so im not gonna worry about changing anything on em other than a good cleaning. Down the road ill get some different ones, probably black carriers and purple buttons.
Yes mine are anodized as well, but my wheels and rotor carriers are anodized black. Here is picture of mine:

Got the front blinkers swapped out. And the cbr tail light installed.

Ignore the mismatched clutch lever, having to modify (fix) the aftermarket one, crappy Chinese quality.

Took out the steel whool packing out of my Quadzillas, man barely any thing there. Repacked them with ceramic fiberglass packing. Stripped one of set screws & ran up to Ace to get another one. Also installed Voodoo speak easy, but no time to test it out to see if it toned her down a bit, will later.

Youll notice a definate difference in sound. I wound up taking my speakeasies out because they create an odd whoosh kinda noise. It made things a lil bit louder but having good quality packing in there was a vast improvement over the steel wool crap.

Got my ProTaper handle bar mounted, not completely finished, but close. Switched over everything from my stock rim to my Carr front rim and got it mounted. Plenty more to do yet, but only one more "sexy" addition remains for this winter i think. I could be wrong, but i doubt it, lol.

I got up this morning, went out side and look at the bike 6:38 am to see what may look good on the bike. I sleep dream vmax.

I did add blue hoses color to match the bike color, it took some searching to find them install over brake line, clutch line, oil pressure lines.

Things I'm looking at - frame braces, Rear wheels from few people, Having a spire motor. changing may banjo bolts there's some nice design 1's out there, colored ti bolts for the brake rotors, changing out the drag handlebar, types of gas sending units,

Took a break from the estate stuff today & messed wit the 85 a little rebuilt the brake & clutch masters & pulled the tank & done a little cleaning. Did not get near what I wanted done but it was nice to take a break from the estate stuff . Went & seen American Sniper when I was done with the bike.

Started installing the new rotors. But my buddy give out. Man freaky pain kick in and lost feeling in my lift had feet. Wifie on her home now to take me to the Docs office. Typing with 1 hand again man.

I like the blue carriers and spacer, makes those brakes look trick as hell!

Thanks adambweird

I'm still look to make it look better. The rims will light up to match the paint on the bike when sun light or car lights hit them.

Pulled front wheel off the running 85 Vmax, removed the original non sealed front bearings and replaced with new All Balls sealed bearings, replaced seals, packed new grease under them, last week I had cleaned out the speedo and repacked it with grease and saw the nearly dry bearings so I'm glad this is all done, next is a rear wheel inspection of those bearings and the splines.

James you say what would look good on your bike !! Well me of course make sure you spelled my name write and have that paper notarized !! :biglaugh:

Had a fun day in Georgia (57 degrees). Added American Cycle fly screen, 12 volt power outlet (thanks forum for the placement idea). I used the wire I ran to the horn relay since I did not want to mess with the ignition switch. Also created a quick voltage meter (thanks china). that I can plug into the 12 volt outlet. New R/R working great.
