OOPS just got back from a 190 mile ride on a bunch of nice back roads went with about 20 other bikes & stopped at a little restaurant in Webster & had lunch. I think tomorrow I am gonna ride the Rat down to St Pete to a little party down at South Side choppers.

Continued the process of stripping it down to the bare bones. All body panels are off, most hardware is removed, and wiring harness is just about totally disconnected. Am going to be removing fuel tank, EFI, radiator tomorrow. Will be removing engine next weekend and the rest of the misc. parts left.

yo how's the '86 running with those slides? All good now?

I went for a nice ride yesterday too - about 100 miles through some half-decent FL back roads NW of Orlando.

Tomorrow I'm either stripping it for a harness transplant or riding it all day..

Hmmm now that you'll have the fuel tank out, it would be a great time to pop that drain plug, enlarge the bung, add a pingle high-flow valve and start a nitrous setup. :biglaugh:

I managed to pop my triple-digit cherry on the new Max while on a ride with friends this weekend! :eusa_dance:

(Professional rider on a closed course. Do not attempt. :biglaugh:)

Uh-Huh!! I've used that one before too....."I tell ya true sir, I'da never been going that fast if it weren't for them other guys.......honest!" :rofl_200:

So...what sort of triple digits we talkin' here Tom....101 or 161?

LOL, I'm sure that never works...I'm more likely to try the beg and grovel approach. :damn angry:

We're talking much closer to 100.1 this weekend...I was in the back of the group, got cut off in traffic, and had to catch up. Plus, I had no friggin' idea where we were going, so if I got separated, I was doomed. I did see that third digit flicker on, though. :punk:

Installed the new Progressive HD 440's last night and they went on easy enough with one person doing it. I got the black chrome 13" units from Dennis Kirk (edit: not Bike Bandit) for $127 delivered! Even though they were not specified as Vmax shocks (it said fitment for Kawasaki Mean Streak) I looked up the spec on Progressive's site and the fittings, springs and length were all the same just a few tenths difference on the travel/ rebound numbers.
They look great and I'm sure they will be much better than the 17 year old stockers! No pics yet and may not get any until I get a free day with daylight and no rain.:confused2:

Bought new gloves today:
http://www.allegro.pl/show_item.php?item=766659088

They look very good and very good price.
As usual Scheoler Keprotec and kevlar braces.

Instaled new speedo harness, instaled new radial zx14 master cylinders and made some polishing
before painting. Hope to get back on the road next week.
Those are some good looking gloves, I should get some summer weight gloves that have a gauntlet.

Redbone, you bought those for $127, was that for the pair? That seems too cheap to be true. Do you by chance have the part number for them
or more info so I can find them on bikebandits site? Thanks.
