I flushed out tmy rear brakes and put DOT 5 in today. I hope it works out and I can do the rest. I;m tired of paint turning to mush on me. I used denatred alcohol then bled two bottles,11oz. eachoff DOT 5.I;ll report back if issues arise.

I put my mini flyscreen back on, and am about to post my national cycles windshield in the for sale section. Gonna try the MRA screens next.

Sadly no ride for me. I took the clutch lever off and when I put it back on....no clutch. I've no idea what is going on. It was working fine and then it wasn't. No time to take it apart until Sunday.

No riding for me today. Got back from spending 2 days helping a friend take care of his grandfather's estate. Got home, and started fabricating brackets I need for the headlight to make it more secure.

I tried out my muscle jet kit on the beekeeper today it works
Please do a Rolling Burnout that puts Tom's to Shame for me. :punk:
I run a Shinko TM 230 rear so I can't even think about matching his Burnouts and I'm Not brave (aka Stupid) enough to try and match VMax Mike's Wheelies.
So I need to live Vicariously through you. :rofl_200:

PS
Tom and Mike,
You know this post just means I'm jealous because my bike isn't quite ready to ride yet. :)

I would Dennis but I'm running the Shinko's this year too and don't wanna replace my driveshaft if I can help it, but I'm getting the wheel off the ground in 2nd pretty easy now ! need to practice some more maybe by Thunder i'll have'em down :confused2: can't wait to see you riding this year too ! glad to see your bike coming together bro :punk:

I let my mother use my cadillac for work while her clutch is getting installed. She ran out of gas somehow about 15 miles from home. She calls the guy who's car she has for help, well mom's mom lol. I grab a 2 1/2 gallon gas tank and off I went on the bike. Nothing like having 2 1/2 gallons of gas zipped up in your jacket while your flying down the highway. After all that I took my son to New Hampshire to meet up another V-max guy. I bought a set of stock wheels he just had refinished, new Galfer rotors front and rear and a couple of ok tires on them $120!!! I was at his house chatting for about 2 hours, great guy. He also ended up having a low grab bar $10. He threw in a new single K+N oval air filter, fuel filter, and a V-Max repair manual. It doesn't seem like I just bought a bike, I got a whole lot of very passionate about their bike people with it. Love
My V-Max!!

I got both bikes washed. And oil changed in the Vmax..I can't believe how lucky I was to find a Vmax that matches the color scheme of the maxim so well. They look like brothers:biglaugh: I can't wait to see how well they play together. I'm picturing a video of side by side wheelies or rolling burnouts:punk: sometime this summer. Who am I kidding.....I HAVE to do both!!!

Today my son and I bled the clutch, the front brakes, changed the fuel filter. Then I cut the Y out of the airbox, changed to a K+N filter and sea foamed each carb individually. Seems to be idling better. Very Happy V-Max owner

Well, as perfect as the headlamp I got from Sean is, it was not designed for the V-Max, so mounting it proved to not be a simple bolt-on job. The original bracket that came with the headlight had this piece that came up over the top of the headlight bucket to bolt to the top clamp of the bike it came from. Don't work that way for Woona, instead, it was hitting that piece under the speedo that the stock turn signals bolt to. Well... ****.

That was cut off first thing.

Bolt up the headlamp, and I start to wonder if it might be a V-Max part in disguise. The mounting seems as flexible as a V-Max frame and suspension. Mr. Slinky would be proud. Yeah... let's fix this ****. Those two allen head bolts (same ones that hold the T for the front brakes) ain't gonna cut it.

So, I made these brackets up. They look rough as hell, but if they get the job done...

Remember that cover... the one with the holes for the turn signals?

Time to put them to use.

And soon, it is all complete. Solid as a rock, and now I have mounting points for the bracketry for the CB I will be installing.

Progress is being made. I am pleased.

Changed the plugs with my son and started polishing up a used low grab bar I picked up for $10. Reminds me of bonding with my Ol man working on his bike as a kid. Great day!

Went out and rode 130 miles tonight. Everything is working well. Now I just need to make the mount for the speedo pickup so I actually know how fast I'm going...

Ordered more stuff yesterday for my upkeep/ bike maintenance. I started on replacing the fork seals and the seal clips/ springs were very rusted so I ordered new from Partzilla. So ordered new sync tube caps, front wheel bearing kit. And picked up new exhaust gaskets for the rear headers since the back left is leaking since I put the UFO exhaust on last year.. I really don't want to pull off exhaust again. Does anyone know will I have to remove the whole exhaust to get to them? If I remember correctly they went on first .. I guess I will look up the installation instructions on UFO's site...Parts should be in Thursday, it's either I work on bike or spend time with my inlaws....lol mmmmm
