Replaced middle and rear seat covers on the 02.

Washed and waxed the 85 and the 02.

Test rode both. Both are running great.

Whoa! Is that designed to pair with oem configuration of pipes and jetting? Looks very high airflow.
Should be paired with Sean's muscle kit and a 4-1 exhaust for optimal set up. Filter is removable and can be cleaned.

Hope you're happy with it @Traumahawk. Thank you for the support 👊

Decided to put a new battery in the '09 that I had bought years ago...Shorai Lithium Ion, like in all of my bikes, and stumbled across this little 'gem' on the main harness as I was moving the ECU out of the way:

Cut ECU Wires.jpg

I haven't started tracing anything yet and the bike runs fine, so I don't know if this was something commonly done after a 'Nash Flash', although I've never seen mention of having to cut wires, or the Power Commander install, which is what that 'janky ass' red wire all curled around is for, or some other who knows what.

Looking at the Service Manual I haven't found anything that jumps out and I'll get a better look at them today but figured someone might have an idea without my having to chase wires.

Hate when people hack harnesses like that...you can do it right or you can take wire cutters to it, guess what the PO did. 💩

Finished up one of my customers today. I put chrome valve covers on it, chrome swingarm and switch out the guts in his venture final drive into a chrome housing. I also had to put a new stator , RR and battery and new muffler gaskets , new carb boots and plug wires. I just have to wait on him to come from Florida and pick it up.

Ill bet in your position Kyle, you probably dont fall in love with em.
They limp in and run out $$$$$$$$$$$

Picked up a new to me Vmax, labelled "the test subject". Runs alright, has a bit of chatter when cold in neutral, goes away with clutch pulled in. Will have to diagnose. Replaced fork seals and refilled forks, all oils with rotella t4 and final drive oil. Pulled carbs, will be cleaning them up and ensuring they're stock. This will be a test bike for dyno runs - stock jetting, then with the 4-1 exhaust, then jetting alterations, then air lid installations, etc. chart each AF change at each primary and come up with jetting settings and charts for each, demonstrating power gains, etc etc. this little spicy max will have some gym days ahead but for the price I paid - she'll do the trick nicely!

Will do some repainting just to bring it back to a nicer condition. Some signs of age.
