oh and change my water pump cover and do my bar snake. haha. its never over.

That's exactly what we are doing on the reaper bike we are building. BTW, we can engrave about anything.

Started clearing the way to remove the valve covers for a valve clearance check, radiator tilted forward, coolant hoses, vboost. Not too bad a job. 23,000 on the clock now (supposedly?) But, after seeing the orange gasket sealer on the oem gasket and a broken radiator mounting bolt, looks like somebody has been in here before I'm afraid. Has run well up to now though. Just didn't want to do this mid summer.

Wise move Steve-o!! You're not going to take my, slightly unorthodox, approach? :ummm:

left to do:

get clutch m/c back
run new hydrolic lines
order/install vista cc
install new clear waterpump cover
install mufflers
install headlight
install barsnake

Went out and started it up the other day, which confirmed my suspiscion that the starter clutch is demanding attention. 25 degree weather and it would only catch for a quick second, took quite a while until it caught and cranked the motor long enough to start. Got the gaskets for the two side covers, but decided to leave that one till spring. Once I finally did get it started and let it run for a while(had a little hesitation on revving at first, but after a few minutes of idling cleared itself up just fine) then shut it off, the starter worked fine again.....definetly temperature sensitive. Hopefully it's just loose bolts in the clutch and not the whole thing crapping out.

After checking out the service manual, it looks like one of those "chicken foot" pullers is the ticket there. Anybody happen to know what size the bolts need to be to screw into the flywheel?

hmm. talking to kratz. does anyone know if the otec water pump clear covers can be powdercoated? obviously not the glass part but the metal part? will the glass/adhesion stand up to the heat ok?

My rear rotor adaptors came in today, I painted then installed them. So now I'm running big wavy rotors all around.

Jedi, I must say. fanfuckingtastic work!! :punk:
