Yesterday I installed my Morley custom braced/notched swingarm and my Venture final drive unit. This is some of his TOP QUALITY custom work, which is matched with his excellent customer service. Thanks Sean.

Nice job Kevin, parts look good in black.

Was that the newer style Venture drive with the speedo pickup hole in the drive? It possibly looks like a bolt retaining a cover over the hole. (my eyes are a little blurry studying the pic LOL!)

If it is a cover, what did you use? Custom made piece? Any details?

I may be using a newer style drive and would need to seal up the pickup hole.

Thanks in advance,
G Man

G man, Thanks, and that is not your eyes, that would be my picture taking skill. Sorry for the bad pic.
Yes it is a newer drive with the speedo hole. I used a piece of 3/16 metal and custom made a cover. It is nothing fancy, just a simple cover.

it would have been better stretched too...the difference in the ride and power feel is amazing... i didnt believe it till i got one...well worth the price

Pushed it in the corner and covered it up. It's all back together just awaiting the scoops. Joe called me this morning and said they'er in the US, just clearing customs and I should have them in a few days.

On a non related Vmax note, I'm doing an interview for my writing class. The owner/designer of Killacycle graciously agreed to give me some one on one time this weekend. Talk about a great guy to take some time out of his schedule to give a bloke from Alaska an interview for his class assignment. :) :)

The finished assignment about Bill, Killacycle, and the possible future of motorcycle drag racing will be published in an upcoming Vboost after I turn it in for final grading.

Got it ready to ride tommorrow!!!!AAAAAAHHHHH the weekend is here and its going to be nice down in Carolina.:biglaugh:

cycle one off fat tach and drag specialties speedo.

C'mon! Do I even have to ask?!?! PICS PLEASE.

It would be cool if you could get some close up pics of the bracket and its attachment points/how it holds the tach and speedo. I've never seen one of Tom's setups in person. :worthy:

Gotcha on that part. I'm interested in how it clamps onto the tachometer and speedometer. I've always just assumed that it is similar to how the triple trees hold the fork tubes. Are there holes Tom's bracket cut to match the gauge and then there is a pinch bolt that you tighten and it clamps around it? Is that how it works??

You can see the pinch bolt

Off topic here...pardon me.

Question for Mr. Pickles: I really dig your piece that bolts to the rear axle and crosses the back tire...I believe it is a mud guard? It looks like one that exactrep uses in pictures (althou, sadly, doesn't seem to sell). It can be seen here: http://www.exactrep.com/acatalog/index.html. It is the picture for the "VMAX BODYWORK" section of their online catalog.

Where'd you get it? I love it!

Thanks very much.

pretty pricey. rick and i made one at one point but it needs to be thicker aluminum and i'm not sure i want that on and deal with all of it to take off my rear wheel (remove muffler, shocks)

Installed an carbon fiber front fender, now finished in black chrome.

This brings up an interesting delema. Do I paint fender black or do I get other body panels Black Chromed :ummm:

Looks Great Mike...
I really like the fender , especially in black chrome! :ten_out_of_ten: i say you need more...

I did the double "d" clutch mod to mine and then I put a 100 miles on it.

Mike, the black chrome looks great! I was going to do my scoops in black chrome, but when the chrome shop showed me a sample of the black chrome, it was black. It almost look as if it was painted. So I just went with regular chrome. Now you have me thinking again.:ummm:
