Wired in a relay for the volt meter so it reads the proper volts at the battery, then cleaned up the garage and took some pictures. Started making a new banner for the garage that shows the current configuration.

Not yet, I was going to take some pictures of that side. But, I had the bike running for a bit to test all the gauges and the clear cover fogged up. I put a little bit of seafoam in. Tomorrow, when I get home from clinical tests, I'll take some pictures of the other side when the clutch cover is cleared up.

KJ, you need to change the girls outfit from black to red....like the bike!

Replaced the bolts in the Kerker rear plate and the oil pressure gauge mounting bracket with some new anodised pieces. Damn, the little details are addictive.

Chris.

The other day I installed my new bars. Ordered 36 inch drag bars and cut them down to 33.5. Live the look and they feel awesome.

Added a fly screen I acquired recently thanks to Ernie out of Canada (a few of you met him in person at the FL tech day). Next step is to install that loud *** horn I picked up form another Vmax forum member, I tested it and holy **** is it loud. I just need to figure out how it wires into the relay and I didn't have the patience to tinker with it today after 2 weeks on the road.

Screen looks nice, sissy bar looks chromed and it plays all together very well.

What is that bit hanging out of your ignition though? :rofl_200:

Got my parts in for my spare set of carbs. I had to bite the bullet and buy 8 of the rubber jet block plugs. The carbs had stage 7 kits in them. Neddles were ng so I'm going to use a set of titanium needles I had laying around. I have the k&n pods but am leaning more towards Seans
air box set-up. The addition of the carbs and Ignatech ignition should be dialed in for Thunder.

I sat and looked at it for a bit. Been snowing, then raining then something in between. So when I got bored after doing some homework, I grabbed one of my empty Altoids tin and some spare parts in the form of UV led's, an ultra bright led, some switches and a 9v plug.

Put them all together for a oil leak chasing light. Just have to add the dye to the oil if I ever need it. Ultra bright flash light on one end controlled with a momentary switch and toggle controlled UV light on the other.

Damn I wish I had your patience for that stuff.

Its kind of relaxing, Like building a model.
I have some other parts I'm going to try an parlay into a charger for a cell. It will have a small solar panel and 3 AA batteries. A toggle switch will go from charging the phone (from the batteries) via a USB port, to charging the batteries (from the solar panel). I suck at electronics, so I learn from doing silly **** like this.
