Cleaned her up, installed Dale Walker's frame braces, fitted the twin NX nitrous tanks, ordered new N2O lines.

Hey KJ, You need to do something about those Dumbo ears! :biglaugh:

Bikes looking good. Tell us what if any the braces did for a stock bike. I put mine on with my radials and suspension.

Chris

I haven't found a good set of mirrors I like yet. I had a set of handlebar mirrors, but I didn't like the looks of them in person. So I got rid of them.

The braces for a lack of a better word seemed to "tighten" up the bike. Hinging while going around corners if vurtually gone.

Yeah that's why I went with the little black one I have now. I had some smaller ones on it that looked good but I wanted it to be less obtuse.

added 5 pounds of air to tires front and back..could of been that way from the dealer ..4000 miles later at 33 psi...probably the reason why front wheel lifted easy

I check my tire every two weeks. They are notorious for going low... Better safe than sorry IMO.

Got all new braided lines installed- clutch, front brake, throttle cables, and speedometer. Bought them at wild Bill's:eusa_dance:

Hey Bill, do those throttle cables run from the grip to the junction box under the scoop or do they run from the throttle to the carbs without the junction?

I think you mean Bill at Wild Brothers... :biglaugh:

Not the Vmax but I tore into the SV and tore down the forks. I had never replaced seals in a cartridge fork but with the right tools it's a breeze. Took me a few hours to tear down and reinstall. Brought the front wheel to the Honda dealer yesterday and they balanced it for me. I had a really bad high speed vibration and thought it might be that, but we'll see. Maybe...

lol

The Vmax is next week... LED install with remote activation...:eusa_dance:

The fork oil was clear when new... Look at it after 6000 or so miles and 3 years... I clean my forks completely with brake clean too...

Re did all my headlight wiring, upgraded the fuse holders etc, had already done a relay mod but have since gone back with the cybermax headlight.

When I went to 2ea 100watt bulbs I figured it was time to make sure I didn't burn anything down.

Also washed and detailed it, it needed it, I've been racking up 300 miles a week lately during the week commuting and on weekends and it gets pretty filthy....

They run from the throttle straight to the carbs without the junction.

Oh no Chris, anyone with balls that big to take a vmax over 200 mph is definately wild. So i call him wild Bill...

No, Bill Warner drives and his buddy Jerry Gainey wrenches.

Well I got to put in new fork seals, wipers, and EBC HH front pads last night. No more leaks and WOW she stops better already!

I installed the new used speedo and cable, removed the carbs and tore one down to check out it's condition. Bid on a carb kits, ran a new wire to the starter motor, installed a straight front brake lever and waited for my clutch hose to show up in the mail. Gotta 1000 mile ride to go on Father's day. Almost ready :)
Cool and cloudy, fits of rain. Summers almost here.

Sounds like the same weather I have here! I did the cat-eye tail light mod today. Also dropped the exhaust and swing arm. Repacked the bearings. Going to put in the solid motor mounts tomorrow.

All winter projects done, took out carb bank and did a complete overhaul, tuned & sync'ed it and went for a ride...

:th_image003::git::banana: it rode f__king great, nice improvements over last year and isn't that what it's all about! Damn I love my max!

 Mike

Put in the delrin motor mounts today. What a pain in the ass! Went smooth as silk until I got to the left rear. U-joint would hit the gas tank flange and prevent the final 1/16" to pull out the mount. Ended up half taking out the tank. Got it buttoned up and went for a ride. Oh yea! I like!
