It is close!! I did hit some "rough" spots in the road last night and had no issues (checked the fender to see if it had hit the rad). Definately a different feeling on the bike. Also, as a side benefit, my vibration in my handlebars has lessened!!

Grats on the new front end Jim! :th_image003:
You can post about it once or twice but then you are required to provide pics to us! Because, as you know.....:ttiwwp:

what what? and why?

I'm interested in this setup, but vmax is double the weight of R1 so how that works? or did you put different springs Jim?

Vitek
Yes, the R1 fork have to be resprung, Cycle One Off does this conversion for you. The extensions are fork extensions which may be needed because the R1 forks are shorter than Vmax's.

Will be posting pics tonight or tomorrow, have to paint the fender to match the bike LOL (it is an OEM R1 fender in blue..). The extensions are necessary if you want to retain stock ride height. Cycle One Off offers several lengths to tailor to your needs. My forks have Racetech HD springs installed to compensate for the weight difference between the R1 and the Max. There is quite the handling difference and the ride is incredible.... now if it would only stop raining LOL.

UPS man came last week with a couple of quick bolt ons. Thought you might like a pic or two:

I mounted up the sissy bar I bought from Nosboss. It's even better than I had hoped for, and the wife is absolutely thrilled. The fit and finish are excellent. Install was a cinch, and taking the bar on and off is a two minute deal with a phillips screwdriver. Thanks Jason for solving my sissy bar quandry!

Here are some pics. Please ignore my disaster of a garage!

It was beautiful here today and I couldn't ride my vmax. Just bought it a month and a half ago and lost my one key. Waiting for a new one to arrive. Hopefully before good weather ends this week. Ordered a Corbin and waiting on that also.

Turned the front tire around so it rotates in the correct direction and balanced it. As foolish as this stuff looks, it works very well.

I'll get a new ME880 in the spring and it'll be a snap to check balance periodically. Maybe even reduce cupping. :biglaugh:

Oh No! Tom, have you totally lost your marbles?? This is not an OG's bike!! You've got to put this thing on e Bay first thing in the morning!!

My son would have my head. Every time I do something a bit risky (like climbing up in a tree to trim a limb, or something), my son says before I go, "If you fall, can I have your bike?" Sometimes I think it's the only reason I'm tolerated by my kids. :confused2:
