Getting this thread back on track... Rode mine to work today, was running late, so I had to bump it up over 130 for a while.

I always leave late, but arrive right on time!

Nice.. Mine's been off the road for two weeks now while I waited for parts, and I'm getting withdrawal symptoms!! :bang head::confused2:

Added open end caps to the Supertrapps a few days ago.

Did a 400 kilometer run yesterday and 400 kms again today. Lots of country roads and hill work.

Man this noisy ******* pulls hard. :clapping::clapping::clapping::rocket bike: and still getting about 21kms a liter :biglaugh:

The Odometer ticked over 66,000 kms today:th_party39:

I need to change the title to "what I did to my Vmax this week"

I started out by installing my Morley seat. This is well spent money getting one of these seats. His craftsmanship is excellent, and it is a very comfortable seat. I then next installed a new set of Metzeler 880 tires. While I had the calipers off I put on some EBC HH pads. They stop allot better then the stocks.
I must say that it sure is fun getting rid of any rubber on the rear tire before removing the wheels!
Next was to upgrade the headlight. I purchased a PIAA Intense white bulb. Works better then stock, but I think that I might go with adding the relay to the headlight wiring.
I picked up a set of OEM case guards from Boxenstop, and installed them right away. I might take them off and have them powder coated black.
Just got done doing an oil change, and antifreeze change. After I get done here I'm going out to install a set of Kuryakyn Iso grips. I sure hope they are worth the $63.00.
Tomorrow I will use my new Carbtune & sync my carburetor.

My job keeps me away from home for 4-5 weeks at a time. This gave me plenty of time on the internet to have these parts waiting for me when I got home. While at work I think about my Max, but seem to really forget how much fun they are until you get back on and get to feel that Vboost again. I Love my Max!!!

I almost forgot the icing on the cake. I picked up my first bottle of Seafoam. I will add that at the next fill-up.

Hey KSNICK,
You got the part number on that bulb, I looked at them last time I was at the auto parts store but wasn't sure which one would fit.

ran it hard as hell on the hills and curves of rt. 715 and rt. 206 a couple of the best bike roads in ohio, as bad as it kills me puttin her away for the winter, well maybe i store it in a heated garage, might get warm again.:eusa_dance:

Got max back from the stealership today. Seems to be running strong, dunno if it's right tho, it's fast, but I'm not having a religious experience. Going to have to let one of the local members ride it for feedback.

Upon it's return to duty...

Pulled the passenger pegs and mounts (kind of a PITA on the left side)

Centerstand go bye bye.

New grips, slightly oversized for my big paws.

Mothers, Mothers, Mothers.....

Scrubbed in new tires over twenty miles of nice twisty.

And now I've got to go to work tonight. BLEH!

Oil change (god that stuff was DARK) and a whole bag of stainless fasteners. Glee!

actually yesterday, but got the freaking supertrapp baffel out of my right side. Had one of the nuts break free so there was a chopped off bolt just sitting in there. not gonna replace it now but no bolt at all makes me feel better than one just hovering in the fibreglass...

used maleko's suggestion in getting a 2x4 and putting holes for long bolts. 3/16" bolts fit perfectly plus they were about 6" long....

got an OEM cowl, new plugs, oil change stuff, clutch switch, oil level sensor coming too!

Put on a set of forward controls. They look great but the jury is still out on whether to keep em or not. More comfortable for tooling about, but less so should you want to really romp on it.

Installed the COP mod, runs fine, better cold starts as of this morning.

Continued in the quest to replace all my visible fasteners with stainless or chrome.

Ordered iso-wings to replace the round footpegs on my forwards.

Still looking into a running light / turn signal conversion that will go under the mesh in the scoops. Will keep ya posted.

You guys rock!

Dang man.... I can't remember who's done this. I'm pretty sure they're LED's. Whoever is was it was sick as hell Bro.

Anyone know who it was/is??

Did the COP mod last night, also installed sport tail and changed out a bunch of fasteners to stainless. Tomorrow night is polishing wheels and prepping skins for paint.

Removed the fork brace, front signal bracket and w'sheild braces, packed them up and sent them off to the powdercoater.
Then cut a couple chords of firewood. (thought about skidding some logs out with the v max, but decided against it, used the Big Bear instead) :biglaugh:

sit in my garage and staired at it and cussed winter, snowing like hell, if all you can do is look at it, and think about the ******* torque it makes you love it that much more:punk:

Enlisted my helpers for 1300 build for Lousiana bike. This bike will be intense when it's all said and done.

Now that is a cute picture.... Don't expect little girls to be interested in wrenching.

You would be surprised! Most likely would get an ear full if the few chicks I know that wrench read these posts LOL! and 1 or 2 may be able to kick your ass! LMAO :rofl_200:

I think its great to get girls involved:clapping: if chick motorcycle mechanics were more popular I would most likely get a job just to watch em bend over to work on motorcycles. Be much much better than getting that nasty view of Harry the Hairy ***** Butt Crack.

Added Kuryakyn Iso-Wings this morning. I found the forward controls comfortable, but after a while there's only so many comfortable places to put your feet on round pegs.

Very happy with the quality and finish of the wings. Bolted right up and very adjustable. The thick pads are super comfy.

Now about that 10 gallon tank....
