There is a 1986 Vmax for sale locally . It has the sissy bar and the luggage rack on it too. It has 50,000 miles on it! It looks to be in pretty good condition. The mileage makes me nervouse... selling for $2,000

the backrest will sell on flea bay for atleast 350.00 the luggage rack can bring another 100.00

then you would only be in it for 1,550.00

if it runs and you can ride it, buy it.
if the motor goes. fix it or part out the entire bike. 1,500 should be easy to recover.
some bikes are worth more dead than alive.( just something to think about)
