What is next for Toxic

Well,

After a lot of consideration I am looking at the following updates to good old Toxic:

1) Custom, hand made, one of a kind stepped exhaust system built by Lang Hindle

2) Upper fairing and head lights from a 2007 R1 (replacing the current fairing and headlight that I just don't like the look of)

3) Rear sets

4) Tail section off of a 2006 R1 (going to remove the flip portion of my seat as well and access to the gas tank will be under the pillion pad)

5) Custom paint from a local painter

Toxic is going to be featured in Motorcycle Mojo magazine some time this year after I get all these mods done and I want it looking its best. Think that once this is done I may just have hit the end of the line with mods... but don't tell my Mod Kong or he will be pissed!!!!

Jim, sounds like some awesome mods going on an already extremely well done bike.

What about later r6 tail instead? The R1 has underseat mufflers so it might look a bit awkward being stripped of them.

Was looking at the R6 tail as well. The nice thing about the R1 tail is that it is actually the easier of the two to mount to a Vmax sub-frame. The rounded portions where the exhaust cans would normally sit don't look too out of place and it would also leave open the possibility of putting an undertail exhaust on some day, not that I would give that a thought but you never know.

I used to have a 2005 R6 tail on mine but that had to have a subframe adapter. Looked sharp but gave me some work with the fiberglass...

I REALLY like that airbox cover as well!!!

Some day maybe..... would have to send it to a friend to get the chain drive changed to be compatible with my bike though...

i love your tail dont change it.. you can make all the other mods... but the tail ??? why? you will only see it in very custom v-max's you wont see it on any other brands of bikes but only on a v-max and you want to replace it with a tail that every r1 have . . .

imagine that our tail some european vmax makers like cannesmotoservices sell it complete about 800 euros.
