What's broke here?

Odd how these shaft breaks look.....almost laser-cut. :ummm:

I have one around here some where thats broke super jagged & dead in the center of the shaft seems like all mine have broke in diffrent ways.

They break in all kinds of ways and all kinds of places. More do break cleanly though then unwind.

I bealive they are aboout 50 HRC but hardened trough all diameter - IMO thats why they are breaking so easly.
