thinkin about selling the max...im not in any kind of bind or anything, i dont need to sell it

1997
21k miles
REBUILT title
custom paint
stage 1 jet kit
kerker slip ons
k&n drop in
ME880s with 2k miles on them
corbin seat (one small crack)
drag bars
starter clutch was just replaced along with the carbs all being gone through professionally by a dealership

bike was bought new by my father - he got hit when the bike had 300 miles on it and it was totalled out by default, due to insurance policy (they do no repair bikes, they total them)...the damage was cosmetic, and the bike has now gone 20k more miles and not had a single issue

dont have any great pics, if i go to sell it, i will take some better ones

bike isnt for sale at this time, im just trying to find out what its worth to decide whether or not its even worth selling...i know the title status is going to hurt the value a lot - thats why im wondering

what do you guys think its worth?

worth? probably close to retail value @ $3500...

actually get for it? probably $2500 - $3500

That's a nice looking bike. I know about the Rebuild Title being a PITA. I have a super clean 96 Ford Explorer with just over 70 k miles on it. It's got a 5.0 V-8 3:73-1 Limited Slip. It got totaled for cosmetics too. I'm in the process of bringing it back and so far have about $10.00 invested.

It's hard to place a value on a bike. It's all about what someone is willing to pay. I have a very nice 94 Max with less than 17 k miles on it and a clean title. I don't know if I could get $3,000 for it in reality.

Good Luck,
Dave

2800 is a good price in my book for a buyer. i'd start at low 3's and gauge interest. depends on what you COULD let it go for too eh?

like i said i dont really need the money...so i "could" let it go for whatever..i owe 1850 on my truck, and ide like to spend $800 on a new gun, so that leaves me flexible for anything over 2600

maybe ill put it on craigslist for 3200 obo and see where it goes from there

even a trade for the gun+cash you want?

problem is, i am very particular about which gun i want...and i dont turn 21 for 10 more months....theres no gun registration in ohio, but ide still have to find someone willing to sell me the gun lol....so the chances of a gun plus cash are very slim, since im kinda set on which one im going to be buying

haha...give me the 1850 to pay off my truck, and buy my gun for me, and you can have the bike for a steal!

What kind of gun are you looking for??? It may be sitting in one of my safes.:biglaugh:

looking for something for concealed carry

im really eyeballing the springfield xd .45 ACP

was considering a xd subcompact 9mm for awhile, but im afraid that it wont be comfortable in my hand being that you cant get a full grip on it

im reading that the xd 45 is a brick though, so im kinda up in the air...

got any suggestions for something that is a good compromise between size and grip? i want to be able to get my whole hand on it comfortably, which is why im thinking i dont want a subcompact...but if i dont get a subcompact gun, are they all going to be bricks?

Just go get ya one of these :) on a more serious note look into the 4.25" 1911 style pistols of you want some thinner yet still a 45 $800 should be able to find you a decent 4" 1911

thats a badass gun lol

as for getting a 1911, im thinking i may want something a bit smaller...ill be primarily carrying with an IWB holster

a 1911 is going to be easier to conceal due to the narrowness. just my opinion. this is my daily carry. have done it for a few years now.its much easier to carry than even my buddies subcompact 40.

I have a Glock 30 SF and a Para Ordinance Carry 6. If you go bigger you'll wish you had a compact. I can carry these 2 and hardly know it's there myself. Bigger is harder to conceal and the weight gets very old fast. I carry these in a pocket holster, hip holster, waste bags and at times in a shoulder Holster. Depends on the day, how I'm dress and outside temperature.

I have a Glock 19 that's a good compromise.....

Smaller than the full size but bigger than a compact:eusa_dance:

just a galco iwb. nothing real fancy but it does a very nice job i THINK its their summer special holster. could be wrong it was a long time ago when i got it.

ahh they call it the summer comfort now. heres a picture
