I actually wanted a more complicated paint job, but after the numbers started adding up for the paint I wanted and the multiple step labor involved in getting it there for four pieces done perfect like i was insisting I just said to hell with it and went for a solid color scheme.

It does take years that's for sure!
I'm lucky my brother and nephew own J M Custom auto works. I just paid for the candy colors and they have all the rest of materials in stock. We Actually traded off work my paint job for my labor putting in a new roof at there house garage. I priced all paints n materials alone were close to a four hundred bucks.

Anything from "Nightmare on Elm St.?" I worked many years w/John Depp, Johnny's dad. They didn't get-along very well. I llike "Pinhead" as a horror character, and any "monster from the ID," as they know what scares us the most! Just ask Walter Pidgeon.

Yeah I used it because I'm thinking a similar shade of blue for the base, but I'll be going with less splatter and more metallic or pearlescent. It will be busy with all the airbrushing on top though. Full on montage style like wildweasel's Grizzly but I'll be tweaking the idea over time to incorporate general horror movie characters and normalizing the color spectrum to be blue/gray with small pops of accent colors. The whole thing will be expanded out to the hard bags so they not only fit the bike, they extend it. I doubt very much by the end of the design there will be any text, but if there is it will be generic like 'Creature Feature Show' and for sure no titles of movies/novels/etc. It will tip the focus of the montage too much to one character or character set IMO.

Priority is function over flash. Which means the mod monkey account has to pay for suspension, clutch, and tire mods before paint is even in the near future. I've got years to refine the idea.

Pinhead, Jason, and Freddy will likely all be in the cut. Ghostface from Scream is out, and Chucky too. Probably do a small tribute to the thing from Split Second because Rutger Hauer is awesome. I'm on the fence on Alien/Predator or anything more sci-fi horror than plain ol slasher/monster horror, but if I go for sci-fi I'll be including them and probably something from Deep Horizon.

Gotta have some zombie shit in there for sure too. Not sure if I'll be lifting from newer Dawn of the Dead, Walking Dead, or old school Romero. Captain Spaulding and House of 1000 Corpses will for sure be there because that and Devils Rejects are on my top 10 list. Seriously retarded for campy horror and those are a tribute to campy horror while being excellent campy horror flicks themselves. Spaulding is the best clown that ever clowned.

Like I said I've got years to roll this around in my noodle, almost limitless source material, and I've got a handful of bros that draw indy comics, and a man who does awesome airbrush work that owes me some time. Should turn out pretty epic but it's ages away. It's taken me from August till now just to decide for sure on a horror theme.

I'm thinking maybe the sci-fi on the bags since it's an extension of the genre so fits for an extension of the theme... the bags are such prime real estate though I dunno.

I was at the university on-site restaurant yesterday and there was a table filled w/young guys, all talking horror movies, beasts, & etc. real 'fanboys,' from the sound of it. They appeared to be hopelessly socially-challenged in-terms of attracting females their own age, but who knows? They are in the midst of three South Florida campuses filled w/plenty of young, intelligent, attractive women, but they would rather talk monsters! So would I have, when I was about 12, and buying every copy of Famous Monsters of Filmland, which I read and studied endlessly. That and slotcars were my primary interests, and girls were something you thought-about, but rarely did anything with or about, kind of what these young men appeared to be doing.

Those mags were so cool, I was more into the "horror irony" ones than monster stuff. Does anyone still put something like that out.

Speaking of campy horror has anyone seen a little gem of a movie called FIDO?
Its Hilarious!

Think leave it to beaver with a pet zombie

Not that I can recall but that reminds me... gotta watch some old Tales From the Crypt episodes and add Crypt Keeper to the list.

Fire-Medic sorry to have derailed your thread... but what is the ornament supposed to be?

F-M just has breast implants floating his garage and sometimes they accidentally bounce onto the bikes. I'm sure we've all been there.

What it is has been determined, how it got there is up for speculation!

Obviously, not your average toolbox inhabitant.
