Starting the build-up. So far, no extra parts...

YIKES! You have bigger boys than I do. I was lucky and never had to do really anything in my engine. However I did go all the way down to the frame. This winter is comming up on 5 years from when I did it. I am glad that I have most of it all back together, because I have only a few things left that I might need help with. Otherwise I might have been selling a basket case in more than one basket. LOL

" DANNY MAX " TAKES HIS ENGINE OUT TO CHECK THE OIL ! ... WHEN HE RED THE MANUAL & IT SAYS TO CHECK THE OIL ON " LEVEL GROUND " HE THOUGHT THE ENGINE ! ... :rofl_200::rofl_200::rofl_200:

Damn, my bike looks JUST LIKE yours in those pics. Well, except for I still have stock bars. Mine's looked like that since August though. I'm kinda scared that I won't remember how everything goes back.

I labeled everything and used sandwhich bags, and took LOTS of digital pic's. The heat is on though, I'm usually the first one (in our shop) to ride in each year on the first good day.
Just like Scooter, I hope not have to have a problem or big tear down for several years to come.

You did the exact thing I did. Digital pictures (tons of them) and sandwich bags written on them with a sharpie. My problem is I just haven't had alot of time to work on the dang thing. However when I get home I sit on it and imagine cruising down the street with the wind blowing through my hair.. You see it is a dream cause I don't really have much hair LOL

I don't need the pics anymore and almost don't need to label the bolts. I still do label them most of the time though. Small sandwich bags work well. One thing I did learn early on is not to write on the bag only as oil tends to make the writing rub off. A small piece of paper with the info written on it will last plenty long.

Sean, good thinking on the piece of paper..

I didn't want to admit to sitting on my engine-less, swingarm-less, front fork-less bike and pretend to be flying down the road. But since you did, I'll let it be known, I make engine noises too.
