Wide Glide front end

I'm thinking of mounting up a wide glide front end to the Max. Any input on just how horrible of a project this might be?

Jedi has done it on his 88 project bike and has a post on here with the machining required to make the aftermarket Harley front ends fit on the max.

I have a wide-glide back-rest on my home made sissy bar on my 'MAX. Someone from PinWall had a nasty note about a harley part sold by them being installed on a VMAX , but who cares. I rented a wide-glide several years ago. IMHO it's the best looking harley out there. I think a w-g front end would look cool on the right VMAX. Maybe not fully functional as far as performance, but definitely a good look just the same. A Honda Shadow or Yamaha Virago with a monster V-4 torque monster motor would be very appealing to me, but I guess I'm in the minority. I like the throw-back handle bars, skinny front wheel- look, but I HAVE to have the VMAX power...

nope. Just happened across that site by chance. There is also a VERY nice writeup on the starter clutch in there on the iowaz page somewhere.
