Been searching for a low mileage Gen2 for a while now. I want to purchase from a vmax owner, not a dealer or flipper. Partial to 2018-2020 but open to other years. I am ready to purchase now if the right bike is out there.

I have 2 bikes both with a 240 tire one oem and one bst. Honestly I can't tell any difference going back and forth riding them.

Curious as to what’s different with the 18-20 years? I have a 09 and thought other than color there’s are all the same?

Color, newer, more likely to have low mileage, and just a preference.

They are all the same. Except the 09-10 had a couple of recalls (oil pump and some minor harness from memory)

I would look for a 2012 or later. I was one of the "lucky" ones who had the dealer destroy an engine in a 2009 doing the oil pump recall.

How in the hell did they manage that? Seems like, from what I've seen, it's not a terribly difficult nor complicated process.

I have a 2009 that was done; no problems. Must have been a trainee working on that one.

Clutch basket runs the oil pump. If you don't mesh the gears it breaks the gears and the oil pump doesn't spin.

Yes and pretty sure mine has had none of those done. Getting it in soon.
