Nah..no melt ( this time), About a year ago I replaced the stator and the R&R, with all new stuff. At that time the plug had melted,two segments were fried on the stator. Update ...... I went out this morning and straight wired the charging wire to the battery, now it holds steady voltage...

Twice now Ive went out to ride....Cold outside !! No Hyd preasure at all on the clutch lever. Fluid level is fine, no leaks. So, I ride with no clutch and as things warm up the clutch slowly comes back...after 10 miles or so clutch works perfect as if nothing was ever wrong. Whats wrong ????

My bike acted nuts like yours, I put all in the carbs, turned out it was the Electronic Ignition box, My bike ran great at full throttle....like shit everywhere else. Changed the spark box, perfect !!

I need the yamaha part number for the throttle ( part grip slides on ) For my 87 max, or point me where to buy online, went to put grips on and half of it was busted up....works but now the throttle wont snap back on its own...I dont care for that. There is a bunch on ebay...but none listed...

I thought i would have got a little more feedback about this little guy. I guess I will just buy one and give it a shot..hell, how loud can it be ? I suppose i could run a open header a minute to see if she will run OK before I buy, I dont want to screw up a good running tune.

How about this little guy ,I would use my hindle header with this small slip on, what would the end result be ?? Work ok ?? loud as hell?? Run OK?? It says 105 db. with a small baffle inside. Thoughts..... Thanks

One last post on this issue, I rode 100 miles, pretty much non stop....Not a single misfire, I never heard a stumble, I believe the old girl is good to go !!! Thanks for all the help !!!
