Lew, i did the peashooter already- carbs look pretty clean- it runs good at high rpm but just does not sound smooth at idle. pulled plugs and they look good.

What is wrong- when trying to adjust a/f screws i turn them in all the way [gently] and the engine does not stumble, i mean the engine idles @ 1000 rpm like i' m not even messing w/ the a/f screw. It does this on 2 cylinders, one on each side . the other 2 cyls react normally. old max...

Appreciate the feed back, i did the shotgun method and found the right front carb a/f screw was missing the spacer and rubber o ring i guess that could have something to do with the blue pipe. old pete

Fella's, i have to ask a dumb question; on my 92 vmax, right front header pipe is dark blue and the left is chrome colored , just a little blueing . Which one is lean and which one is rich? Bought it recently and a/f caps were gone---some one has been adjusting the carbs. Thanks old pete

Again, thanks for the replys , i will look for Start Your Engine and try it ,i just want to run the snot out of this bike - it feels like a pit bull- and it's pure stock and not in tune. I know when i get it running good it will probably scare the crap out of me . Very Cool Bike
