This has got to be the most fugly bike I have ever seen, what a POS.

I saw some fag on one tonight, what a joke. Who in there right mind would buy one of these for 25K.

IMHO

I'm with you, but different strokes for different folks. I'm sure you've seen what people have turned their Vmax into. It does take all kinds to make the world go round. And I'm sure Honda will sell a few. Kinda like the Suzuki Burger King(not made anymore).

I know a guy who has one. Nice bike, and pretty quick too. Not for me though, but someday they will be collectors items...I think production of them was pretty low numbers. FWIW

I've sat on one in the stealership, and it wasn't for me. Big and bulky.
It's got that Valkrie/goldwing engine though, so I'd assume it has enough torque to pull a fifth wheel travel trailer.

is there a rule 34 on a Rune trike?

Edit: yup, if it exists, there's porn of it.

It was more of a design exercise I read. They can be had in the 15 k range and sub 5,000 miles on the clock. I am a big guy and the pig actually fits me. If you think a stock Max is heavy, you would shit manuvering this thing! Workmanship was actually notably good. I never seen a trike set up. That being said, you could give me one and I'd take it but would never spend the cabbage to buy one.

It reminds me of the styling exercises on cars from the late fifties & early sixties. Some worked , most were gaudy with too much chrome , fins , fake scoops ( oops ), sorry about that. I do like the exclusivity of the bike though. Prolly why I have a Max. you just don't see many on the road with you.

The Rune sure seems to be a love / hate bike, no middle ground.

I know a local who has one (along with an '09 Max) and it certainly turns heads. I like the thing myself. It certainly is unique, which demonstrates what sort of bike you end up with when you stop whipping engineers with a budget.

There's a red one sitting on the floor at the place below, at least the last time I went through. The owner said he didn't care if he sold it or not. It's an attention getter through the window. I think it's cheaper than 25k. That trike is huge!

W.O.W. in Marietta sells a lot of bikes , all used. Anywhere from 300-600 at any one time. Bought my '98 C.F. Max & '96 Custom Royal Star from them. Always a good selection. I have seen up to 5 V-maxes for sale at one time.

The Rune hasn't been made in years...neither has it's "base model" the Valk. The Rune edition was made in limited numbers for only a couple years and I'm sure someday that "fugly POS for faggots" will be worth bouceaup bucks. The styling isn't really my cup of tea either, but I don't see why you need to go off bashing something because you don't happen to like it's appearance. Calling a bike "for fags" is just one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard, and from my experience is reserved for when a HD rider gets smoked by something in a race they started, then that bike is for fags. I smoked some HD a while ago(on my 500cc Magna no less), and at the next stoplight the guy "came back" with, "well, at least I ride a real bike, not some faggy Honda" and then hauled his ass out of there as fast as 60 horsepower and straight pipes would carry him. Real loud? Real expensive? Real shitty? I guess I'll never know what he meant.

The Valk's have a strong following just like the Max, and while it won't compete in the quarter mile, they have absolutely endless torque on tap and are known to run virtually forever. The author of the "Life is a Road" books rides a Valk with(when his last book was published a couple years ago) about 120k on it and still going strong.

I love the Rune. I will own one someday.
I can`t help it,
There is something about that bike that I too like.
It looks big and commanding, and harley riders don`t fuck with it either!!
they do have alot of power but they are big and a bit bulky .
I too would like to own one someday to take the wifey on an adventure, she would feel alot safer on one of those than the v max.

Oh man! She's HOT! And the fact that she rides makes her even hotter!

there = their

Ending a question with a "." = "?"

Runes = Some love them. Some hate them.

Trolls = even their own mothers won't take responsibility for having hatched them.

Seeing a negative post by a Nobody Troll = PRICELESS. :clapping:

Troll on nobody. You're just po'd your last thread was closed before you could get a bash in. What a child.

I always like the Rune for what it is... I don't like it for a corner carver or a drag bike. I like it for the off the wall design that it has. It's super pricey yes, but Honda didn't MAKE people buy them.

The Rune had the full tilt GW motor in it, while the V had a neutered version of it, if memory serves.
