So how do all of you stay out of jail?...lol... Anyone using a radar detector? if yes what kind? with all the power and speed, Its so hard to not just whack the throttle :bike1:

The best you can do is pick and choose when and where to open it up, if you go balls out all the time you will be serving time. :biglaugh:

Try Radar Roy .com . Oregon is tough with laser. I use an Escort Redline and will be adding a laser blinder this year. I also use Legal Speeding .com's weather proof detector housing. This stuff has paid for it's self many times over.

Get a scrambler!!!

OR JUST FLAT OUT RUN THEM RIGHT COPRUNNER???

We all have a little bit of COPRUNNER in us....:biglaugh::rofl_200::clapping:

Wait untill you get to play with the speed dial on a gen II, I call the throttle a speed dial because all you have to do is turn it to the desired speed and your there

they have one at the dealer here... used 2011 and they still think its worth 19k

LOL

I'd save your money on radar detectors. The only thing they're good for is to tell you that you've just been clocked.

I don't know about down there, but up here "Instant on" is the method preferred. By the time your radar detector goes off and you react to it, The radar has clocked you, then verified the number, many many many times, under a split second. Unless you're fortunate enough to catch a radar reflection from another vehicle being targeted ahead of you, the radar detector is useless against "instant on".

However the Achilles heel of the radar, is that motorcycles aren't easily picked up in traffic. If your doing 70, and a truck is behind you doing 65, the truck is going to get clocked. Things with greater mass and metal will get picked out of the bunch first. That's where the laser radar shines over the Ka band radar. But if your the only one on the road or no one is really around you, you'll be the star.

Was looking at the Lazer jammers... thats what they use here in Oregon.

but 600 bucks is tarded...

Here is another site to peek at. Info on detectors and laser jammers.
http://www.radarbusters.com/
Currently I don't know of any fed laws against the laser jammers, 'cept for you cant have them on a military base. Some states have their own laws on them.
But like I said, "Instant on" is the popular choice for anyone who is worth their salt in traffic enforcement and there isn't a defense for it yet. But if you feel confident that the departments where your at rely on mainly on laser, the $500 for a jammer sounds like it would be a good investment.

Excuse me but.........................$600 aint shit compared to what ONE SERIOUS tickect could cost. Ive been pulled over on the highway doing 85, not that fast at all things considerd, and when I tried to explain that I was just "keeping up with traffic" I was told in no uncertin terms that if I wanted to argue, he would tow the bike and arrest me for excessive speed:bang head::bang head:. I shut up and took my $185 ticket.

Im sure that over the years Ive paid way more then $600 in fines and insurance surcharges.

Key words

Up here its;
3-9 mph over - $8/mph over + $10 surcharge and 2 points off your license
10-19 mph over - $10/mph over + $10 surcharge and 4 points off your license
20+ over - $12/mph over + $10 surcharge and 6 points off your license , But with 20+ over this could bring in the Reckless or Negligent driving which is a mandatory court appearance and usually comes with a hefty fine.

Up here, just 2 tickets, in the 10-19 over range and the insurance company that will more than likely raise your rates, would have paid for the laser jammer.

+1 and then some!!!

I recently topped a hill on my 95 and there was a State Trooper sitting there..The minute I saw the blue lights come on I NAILED IT!!! There was no way in HELL that I was going to take the hit for a speeding...I went from 80 to 135 and by the time I turned off of that road he was a couple of miles behind me. Knowing that you may out run the car but there is NO out running Motorola I kept to the back county roads and got home without a hitch. The fine and subsequent shit that goes along with it ESPECIALLY if you live in a rural area where once they get you they own you 600 is like buying a piece of candy IMHOP

Sooo... how many of you are using the technology? :biglaugh:

I'm not.
I have many decades of riding on the streets of my hometown, not to mention their training on pursuit, strategy, and radar usage. Advantage Me, Muahahahahaha:biglaugh:

Guess im lucky here... Get out of the main city and out around the bay and chances of meeting a cop.are one in a hundred.... We have tons of unpoliced roads.... And if you do run into one... You can be guaranteed he is the only one so nail the throttle if ya can.
