'00 bought end of 2011 for $4000 with 24k on the clock, almost stock other than custom orange paint, and in mint condition
'86 bought in Oct 2012 for $2600 with 36k, had 'trapps, Corbin seat and flyscreen

I paid 2000 for my 88, put a tick over a grand into it,(PCW 261-1260cc) repaint, keeping it stock in appearance. Had the local Yamaha guru apprais it he says I can be comfy in asking over 5 for it, I dont know but it seems to me the max prices are all over the place, kbb and nada both seem high as a buyer ~88 anyway~. I dunno.

Paid $12,000 for mine. Played with it for a couple years, changed the exhaust, tail light and a few bits. Added 3,000 miles to it.
Just sold it for $12,000

$2,500 for my 2001 (77k Kms) with over $6,000 of aftermarket goodies, clear engine side covers, corbin seat and backrest, engine protectors, knee plates, gauges for oil pressure & temp, hepco & becker bags and trunk,Ohlins shocks, deep aluminum oil pan, barnet clutch, lots of chrome, Fat Max fairing, drag bars, signals and much more. The seller had dropped it and thought the front end was twisted. He had ape hanger extensions on it. I took them off when I realized they were bent and after changing the tires, no problems whatsoever.

Sunk a cool grand into carbs, tires, minor electrical, fork seals, and clean up. Now it runs great! Working on making her look good now.

Abouta grand later she made her first (in a long time) journey across Houston yesterday. Most of the needed repairs resulted from several years parked in a barn.

Thanks to Ebay I drove up my price, I wanted it too much. In 2007, I bought a 1990 with 42,000 for $3215. It had front frame sliders, small double headlights, mini turn signals, mid windshield, and sissy bar. Unsure of any prior modes to carbs or engine..

Since then added UFO 4-1 drag exhaust, solid engine mounts, stock grab bar, custom front brake& clutch covers, custom rear brake bar, Oakland Raiders Scoop Inserts, oh and chrome engine guards. Still waiting for Power Ball to buy magna supercharger...and upgrade engine Cc to 1500....:worthy: My wife knows I love my bike, that is why she let me buy it for myself as a early retirement gift from my Army career. I had only been looking at them for like 20 years prior to buying it.

09' vmax last january paid to much at 14,700 with 2200 miles on it. LOTS OF BILLET some blacked out parts LOWERED, BIG FAT 240 TIRE , akropo full exhaust, the gurue's nash flash ordered and still waiting on clear covers, mba monster big air, lower sissy butt pad with luggage rack for thunder (and wife) Also bought 2nd set of skins to play around with for a more custom look( not 100% sure what color ) My wife wanted me to go buy a new one and I told what it would cost to add all theses extre's .She asked why add the extra's I strutted around like a monkey..nuff said !!
