Well I have had my max for around 3 weeks now, it is pretty much stock except for pipes. Where would a good place to begin customizing? Have to admit I'm a basic (at best) mechanic. Ideas?

I would say click on peoples profiles.....go to their albums....and look at their bikes. That way you can get ideas on what you like and what you dont like. A few of the upgrades that I really liked, was a fork brace, frame braces, Shinko tires, progressive fork springs.

Ha! Where to begin! What are your goals? Faster, Better Handling, Cosmetics (chrome, coated, and paint), more comfort, better braking, ect...

I installed my adjustable levers, they are definitely nice.
These were a gift from Eric aka Traumahwak.
Thanks again, Eric !!!!

^ I'm really liking them Eric, they have less play in them than my old stock levers did.
I can't wait until I can actually get on the road and test them out !

looked at it as i covered it up in the garage so it doesn't get dusty............ it's raining out today :tantrum:

I think better handling and cosmetic are on the top of the list. Thanks everyone! Keep the pics coming. Is there a better site to order from?

Got the bike back from Starting Line with the new Avon Venom tires mounted.

I only put ten miles on the new tires so far, and I can already tell I made the right choice.

I think I need to consider what I need next for mods... I am thinking frame braces would be best. The suspension is fairly well sorted as it stands right now for me. If I tighten up the frame first, then I shall be ready for the progressive springs and a set of valve emulators in the front, followed by a good set of shocks out back.

It's amazing how a bit bigger tire can change the look of a bike. Just look how the fender now hugs the front tire. Still have enough clearance, but I no longer have the big-assed gap that the stock tire gave it.

Sean actually sells Cage/Needle Bearings for the clutch side lever, to lose the common slop feeling.

Unpacked the Carrz
Waxed Up the Carrz
Repacked the Carrz, sitting beside Shinko 200&120; to be brought to the shop..:)

Are those 18's you got on there? Can you be specific on what sizes your front and back are??

Nice to meet you!#:)

Actually Eric, being a member now for a while had allowed me to learn from good friends/brothers like yourself. Picking up bits here and there will allow me to create a masterpiece. At least until I can afford a Gen II in a few years!:eusa_dance::punk:

I just got new shinko tour masters put on, 120/90/18 front and 170/80/15 rear. can't wait to get em scuffed and try them out.

Just curious, why did you go with the Tour masters and not the 011??
