What is this for?

I'm trying to determine what this fitting is that was installed on my bike before I bought it. It has a blue and black wire soldered to it which runs somewhere. I havn't torn the bike down but I noticed the wires go somewhere into the left side scoop. I was hoping somebody may reckognize what it could possibly have been used for.

I've seen a similar bulb used to indicate when the vboost was active. Does it blink or flash when it hits 6k or so?

is it a bulb, or a jack? i can't tell. if it's a jack, maybe its for plugging in some heated gear like gloves?

Run the wires back and let us know where they go.

I'm betting they go to the battery, thru a fuse, and it's an auxilliary power jack.

It's an iPod jack, or maybe a batt charger connect.

I traced the wires to find that they were cut. it is not an aux jack so it didnt go to any type of music device. It looks more like a valve stem nipple to be honest. Oh well.
