The wheel doesn't seem to have much side to side. But it does look like it has a flat spot up & down. Dave

If you have a stock fan switch & thermostat there must be something wrong with your temp gauge. There's no way the fan would be on at the half way point with stock items. :ummm: Dave

When doing all of this did you open the valve on the transfer/drain tube & forget to close it again ? That could be the problem as fluid is not cycling in system the right way. Dave

Those numbers are right in the ball park just a few degrees low. The stant number I gave you is going to lower it 20 to 30 degrees. Dave

If you get a new thermostat I would recommend a Stant # 48368. Dave

You only have one thermostat & that is the housing where the leak is. You'll have to pull the transfer/drain tube out of the housing & replace the O-Ring on the end of the tube very simple fix. Dave

You talk about scavenging open headers are your best bolt on HP no scavenging. :ummm: Dave

Did you check the 4 hose barb caps on the intakes ? Dave

Sharky why would Shorai make & sell a battery for a V-MAX with a 2 yr. warranty or any other bike for that matter if they wouldn't work. :ummm:

I have a Shorai & you can use a regular battery tender 1.5 amp non desulfication. It also works just fine in the bike. Dave

Try removing the side stand relay behind the left side scoop it is right where the horn & fan wires are. If it is bad the bike will fire right up. Dave

I'm not sure how this seems to come about but I've heard this with about anything that has a Carb. A float bowl is nothing more then a miniature gas tank for the carb. If the floats get to high it will run raw gas into carb throat to low & it can suck air. Moving the float 1 mm one way or the...

Dragmaxster I was going to tell you what Thor told you but being a newbe didn't want to come across the wrong way. But he's right the main jet is at the bottom of the jet block & the dump tube & needle is at the top. :confused2:

I thought the same thing but as long as it is a straight battery tender low amp. you should be fine. A high voltage & or Anti - Sulfation charger is no good. When I got my Shorai it said that the voltage needed to be at least 13.2 & I charged it on my 1.5 amp tender. It worked fine & works great...

I don't believe it's pressure but a vacuum. Try taking the vent line off at the top of the tank & just put a short piece of hose on so no gas can come out. See if it stops making a vacuum.
