Any one here ever attemted to run a quality set of air adjustable rear shocks on a V-Max? Just curious....

Running lean, I have the stage 1 DJ needles installed, clip on 5th, 170 mikuni mains, carbs sync, 4 pod K&Ns, 4 into 1 Kerker, It has some surging and stumbles in a head wind, I don't know if it has the air correctors on the main air jets, what do they look like? and is this what they are made...

My 99 has the half polished alum, half black air scoops from the factory, what's a good home fix to remove the black paint from the lower half with out scuffing or marring up the aluminum? I like the full polished aluminum look. Thanks.

I dont have a tig welder and not sure if I have the skill to fill the hole without the metal sticking out then needing grinding. Would a dab of JB weld be enough to seal off the air hole? Thanks
