Hey whats up? Been wanting to upgrade my stock 2000 vmax for years. If i go with kerker 4-2-1- stage 7 K&N filters will i still have v-boost ?How many horses might i gain from this application? Anyone with similiar set up ,I'd love to hear from ya .

What am I supposed to do with the carb vent tubes when installing the stage 7? In some parts it says to make sure that the carb vent tubes are gone but not for sure. can anybody help?

My bike has the kerker exhaust with the 1 3/4" baffle. I love the sound but was thinking of going with the 2" or the 2 1/2". I usually run with the baffle out and just the end cap with the 1 3/4" opening. With the baffle in my bike bogs down, it feels like to much restriction and loads it up...

Does anybody have or know where I can get instructions for installing a Stage 1 Kit on my 06 Max? Something with pictures as I dont know a thing about carbs. I'm just to cheap to take it to someone and have them **** me on labor!!:ummm:

I installed the Stage one Jets, K&N Filter and 4 into 1 Kerker in my VMax along with thorough carb cleaning. Reinstalled, sinced carbs. Engine runs good at idle,and seems strong with throttles open. Mid range or just cruising, it coughs, pops and sounds like it is probably not running on all...

Is this a mod worth doing? I have a '99 with Supertrapp exhaust and stay pretty much at sea level. If it is worth doing how much horsepoer can be gained? NOTE - I understand you do NOT want to drill slides, change springs, or change air jets (unless you get a stumble).

When running the breather hose off the oil cap..what happens to the crankcase breather? Is this still used or sealed off? If used where does it go to?

No stack at all pulls hard 7 K up and the mid range is soft. 4 inch stack pulls good low from 3-8 but will starve out up top. Short stack 2 inches better in top end. 3 inch stack allows me to pull down to 2000 rpm and up to 9500. With the K&N filters and stacks I had to put the float bowl...

Hi Guys, just wondering what jets and needle clip position is being used with stage 7 and UFO exhaust. Bike runs good except for hesitation at wot. Tried multiple configurations between needle position and main jets and can't get rid of the problem. Is there something else i need to check...
