Think the PC680 are selling down here for a little over $100 USD, did you check with Battery Mart?

The cold cylinder could be a bad plug or more probably a carb issue...stuck float needle maybe?

Pc680 is $17* otd in North Texas. It's a fantastic battery, especially if you've got some test cranking to do.

I appreciate looking that up for me. The catch is the value of our dollar and shipping. Batterymart wants $54 for shipping and with converting to CanuckBucks, we're at $212 CAD. There is a local supplier of Odyssey that I'll call this week to see what they charge.

Damn! Was wondering how it would work out with exchange.

ebay seller is battery_specialist. Ships from Burlington ON. A UB12220 was $66.00 can plus $15 ship. This battery fits and works well but the connections are not same as stock. You have to mount cables sideways rather than the top.

Dale

They sell the adapters.

Update:
The POR15 arrived and I've got my bike all torn apart. On one hand its nice to work on something so clean and non-rusty, on the other hand why oh why didn't I just fill the tank and winterize it...

I've drained the tank and I have it soaking with vinegar over night. I've heard horror stories of what happens if the prep for this POR15 isn't perfect so I'm going to take my time and hopefully do it right.

I also found a local company who had the Odessey PC680 so I've got that on my bench ready to go back in.

So I let the tank soak with vinegar for 5 days. It was pretty much spotless after this but while it was sitting the duct tape let go a little and the vinegar seeped out and ruined the paint on the tank.

I applied the POR15 last Friday and about an hour after i was finished, my wife's water broke and I spent the weekend in the hospital. 30 hours of labour later, my second son was born :)

I repainted the tank and last night I reinstalled the tank and put the bike back together. Today I figured I should dump some gas in and see what happens. I changed the diff oil and engine oil, new fuel filter and some fresh gas. Well after cycling the key a few times until the pump sounded quieter, and about 15 seconds of turning, she fired right up.

One thing that I did notice is that there was a little oil seeping out of the exhaust headers on all cylinders. It was smoking quite a bit in my garage, but after a 20km test ride, the smoke was pretty much all gone. Piston rings reset themselves? (I'm not a mechanic)

Anyway, a huge thank you to everyone who commented in this thread! For a new guy to join the forum, demonstrate a complete lack of respect for his bike and still get the kind of help and advice I received says alot about this community. Thank you!

If you haven't ridden any bikes in the last 6 years, make sure you have the bike aimed before you hit the boost. I rode my 85 boostless for a while, and after replacing a cooked controller, just about spoilt my drawers the first time it hit 6,000 rpm at WOT...
