Accident....

So I decided to go out for a quick rip on Monday. Was in traffic behind 4 cars (one lane country road), pulled out to pass once it was clear at the same time 2nd car back pulled out too. He completed his pass and pulled back in, this is when I could see the oncoming lane of traffic and an oncoming car. I sped up to complete the pass and pulled back into my lane clearing all traffic..... this is when I saw the car, break lights and left hand turn signal :bang head:
I locked the wheels up but the impact was inevitable.... Here are some pics taken by my dad. (I've been in the hospital since Monday, had surgery last night to rebuild the bone above my ankle.)

Sooo, the second car in line passed the first car and then decided to turn left all of a sudden. Sounds like a real ******** move, maybe karma will creep up a bite him in the ass someday.

Sounded to me like, the second car passed the first with him behind. Then he proceeded to pass that car (and going even faster) then came upon the car ahead of that 4 car pack.

Ouch! That sucks.

Been there, done that - 3 surgeries, 2 pins and 22 months R and R. Used my free time off work to re-enroll in college, got my BA degree and never looked back.

Hang in there. It will all work out and that bike can be replaced. Hope your ankle heels quickly and turns out fine in the long run too.

Morley is correct, entire incident was my fault.
I have only seen pics of the bike so far, but here is what I will need:
- Forks
- Front Fender
- both scoops
- Bars
- Levers
- Mini screen
- Water pump and cover - possibly the 90degree hose.
- Rad
- Brake Level
- Shifter
- Left Side peg
- likely some blinkers....
- mirrors - bar end

Lets look at the positive aspect of your crash...your alive to tell about it.

Take the insurance money and put it down on a 2009 V-Max, you can pick one up for 13-14K now.
