Glad to hear your ok! Take your time and heal up good!

scary stuff................glad your healing , let us know what your going to need for parts.

Wrecking sucks. Humbling and frustrating, to say the least. Hope you heal up fast mentally and physically. Once upon a time I dumped a Honda, during a Honda group-demo ride. Made it back to the dealer, and they said, "You?? You're the guy that rides a Vmax... we thought no way You'd go down!" They then asked what I wanted to ride next. Nice people, but no way.
Well, just trying to lighten the mood. We all have a reminder like this from time to time. Good to hear you're okay, and hope the back recovery goes as well as it can.
Peace.

I just got back from the Dr they did some ex-rays and an MRI to check for broken bones and soft tissue disk damage. I have an appointment with a specialist on Friday so hopefully the news will be good. I am going to see the bike today once my brother gets done with some stuff. I will keep posting when I can.
Thanks again guys I really APPRECIATE everything.

Well, I saw the bike a little bit ago...It isnt too bad, the guys at my shop cleaned it up for me and replaced a couple of things they saw wrong and I had the parts for.
Bent handle bars
rashed grip
powder coating on the engine guard chipped up
rashed lever
bent mirror
some scratches on the seat rail
broken signal rubber
rash on the signal.

I think it could have been much worse. Hell it feels like I got hit by a truck. The incline and dirt probably save the bike. They replace the mirror, bars, grips, and signal. I will most likely get the metal parts powder coated when I re-do the engine guards. There is an oil leak at the filter cover. I hope it was just knocked loose and not a rock crack in the block. That would suck. Anyway thats the update. Im going back to bed.

Man, I'm glad you're still with us and beginning to feel better, best of luck to you brother.....happy it wasn't worse....

Just got the news a little while ago from the Doc. Good news is there are no broken bones. Bad news 2 bulging disks in my lower back. He said if they operate then I will be laid up for a few months or if I opt for no surgery then I will continue to deal with this for many years to come. I am not a fan of the surgery. My step father went through that and never really recovered. He was a truck driver and could no longer drive due to the pain that sitting in the rig all day would cause him. I am thinking about my options but will most likely go the route of anti inflammatory meds and see how that goes. I had a very similar condition from the car wreck and was able to live with it for the last 12 years so I think I can do it again. Any way that is the update. Im sure it could have been much worse Im just glad that it wasnt.

There is a therapy that you stretch you back by laying over a curved table to take the presser off the disks and with the anti inflammatory meds, the disk can go back into place. My mother had to do this for her back took just under 2 months of treatments from a Chiropractor. It was a disk decompression therapy. It worked for her might be worth looking into.

I will definitely be checking into that. Thanks for the tip bro.

Any thing to help a fellow out. The back is nothing to mess with. When it hurts so bad you can barely stand, sit or lay down, you stop and pray the pain goes away. Speedy recovery and hope you can get back to a normal pace. Prayers go out for you.
