When I was 'researching' exactly what to buy, and what I could afford... I came across info that said this type of fluid, will get foamy, which will make the individual readings hard to get a grip on... That's why I waited until I could find a merc filled one... merc will not foam...making readings much more acurate....
Merc is not all that dangerous if you don't eat it...or inhale fumes if you heat it... also not good to handle it, as I hear it can be absorbed through your skin... Hell, as kids, we sometimes 'played' with 'quicksilver'... It never hurt me, hurt me, hurt me, hurt me....(slap)..ok I'm JK... Seriously, just use and store it properly, and NO problems...
